Chapter 12

Bowser Jr. woke up silently. What had woken him? He turned his head to see a floorboard was glowing. He removed it and inside was an amulet. It looked like a bow and arrow. I need you, a voice called from within. He knew who it was. Quickly, he put the amulet on and got a map out of his backpack. The map showed everything from here to a cave deep in the woods. Two red dots appeared on the map as he touched the amulet to the map. One was his location, the other was in the woods. He packed up quickly running in the kitchen to grab some food. He ran out into the cold, making sure no one was on duty. He kept his bag close and ran to the woods to find an old friend.

He woke up by a river. He must have fallen asleep while walking. The sun was well into the sky. As he hadn't grabbed any electronic devices to make sure no one followed him, he couldn't tell the time. He sighed and started to walk away. He heard a strange noice from the river. He turned around to see a water guardian being formed. He ran as fast as he could. The thing grabbed him.
"Ahhh! Help!" He yelled.
"Oh calm down, I'm not going to let it hurt you," a voice replied from the river. He looked down to see Rhion standing there.

"What were you thinking?" I asked when my creature put Bowser Jr. down. "We were worried sick."
"Gee calm down Rhion," he replied nervously. "I- who else is with you?" He asked.
"Just me," Tails responded coming out of the woods.
"Look, I'm sorry I ran off. I needed to meet someone immediately." Bowser Jr. apologized.
"Did you meet them?" I asked.
"I'm on my way now to. He's not going to be happy if I come with company."
I sighed. "You know we have to come with you." It was a rule that if you left the facility or the town you had to bring two people with you. We made that rule up after an incident including a certain demon lord and Moogle.
"How bout this? We come with you but you can see your friend alone." I suggest.
He sighed. "Alright." He showed us his map and where we have to go. We began walking that way.
"So who's your friend?" Tails asked BJ.
"Well, he's an angel." I did a double take.
"I'm sorry. What?"
"You heard me. We met in the Smash Tournament." Bowser and Sonic told me about it. A giant tournament where fighters from everywhere came to test there skills against each other. It was supposedly the biggest fighting tournament of all time.
"So what happened?" I asked.
"He left early," Bowser Jr. explained. "He gave me an amulet and the map. Said I was the only one he truly trusted."
"Why did he leave early?"
"I don't know. It had to do with another fighter." We kept walking in silence.
"Umm, is it just me or dose anyone else see that black figure above us?" Tails asked after a while. We looked up and saw he was right. Someone or something was above us. It started hovering. Suddenly, an arrow headed straight for us.
"Watch out!" I yelled dodging out of the way. Bowser Jr avoided it, Tails barely got out of the way in time.
"Hey!" Bowser Jr shouted. "It's me! Could you please stop shooting my friends?" The figure came closer. Suddenly, an angle was right beside us. Not your typical white angle, but a black one. He wore a black toga and sandals. His hair was black along with his wings. His eyes pieced mine. He turned towards BJ.
"I thought I told you to come alone," he said.
"They insisted."
"Hmph." He said. "So how bout you introduce me to your friends."
"Well this is Rhion," Bowser Jr said gesturing to me, "and Tails."
"You wouldn't happen to be friends with Sonic the Hedgehog would you?" The angle asked Tails. Tails nodded.
"Thought so. Pleasure to meet you I suppose. My name is Dark Pit."
