Legend of the pure hearts

Chapter 3

One shower later and I was calmed down from the battle. I changed into a spare shirt and pair of pants. I also put on black fingerless gloves. After I headed towards the library. It was huge with I don't know how manny books, and a fireplace. We used it as a meeting room and everyone was there when I got in. It wasn't pretty crowded as there was only 8 of us. Ortinsia or "Tinse" as her nickname was, had made sandwiches which was good as I was hungry. I grabbed a Grilled cheese and sat down with Mudkip on my lap.

"Everyone here?" I asked. Everyone nodded. "Okay," I wasn't sure how to start the meeting but luckily Sonic had my back.

"Rhion made a discovery today about our enemies."

I nodded thanks at him before speaking. "Our assumption about Girahim and Zant leading two different armies was incorrect."

"Wait," Midna spoke up, "you're saying they're working together?" I nodded and told everyone about our sword fight.

"This is big," Moogle spoke up. She looked like a white bat but with a red ball on her head and she wore a white robe with gold trimming. She stood up. "I've been doing research on both of them. I've learned a few things."

"Well," I said, "floors all yours,"

She looked nervous but she spoke up. "Both Zant and Girahim have appeared twice before." This came to a surprise to no one as we had suspected they had been alive before. "Girahim first appeared in the Age of the Sky. He served the demon king, Dimies and was able to resurrect him. Some books say that Girahim could be used as a sword for his master. Luckily, the hero of time stoped both of them. It's kind of complicated to figure Zant out because the books I've found are all different. Some say he never existed, some believe he was a king. The ones that say he was a king all agree Zant usurped the throne from the true ruler of the Twilight. The Twilight Princess."

Midna nearly chocked on her sandwich. "Do the books ever give the Princess name?" She asked once she recovered.

"No, they don't. Anyways it was said that he cursed the princess and she left the Twilight Realm. She traveled with a incarnation of the hero of time to stop him. Before his defeat, he managed to resurrect the king of darkness, Gannondorf." Silence filled the room. "However," Moogle continued, "they appeared once more, this time together and all books agree on this. The war of time. A sorceress opened a portal to different times. The era of Twilight, age of the sky, and one more. They were defeated once by the hero of time and his allies but they were both resurrected by Gannondorf, and worked together until the hero of time stoped them."

"So," Sonic said after she was finished, "our new assumption is..."

"Gannondorf is leading the army of darkness and is after the pure hearts, yes," I answered.

"What about Demies?" Bowser Jr. asked, "he's Girahim's master."

"The thing is," Moogle said, "he's still in the Faron ruins trapped. We don't know if they plan to free him or what but it's possible."

"Okay," Tails said, "what's our next plan of action?"

"Keep searching for the last Pure Heart," I answered, "keep this place alive and keep fighting. We can't confirm or deny that Gannondorf is leading the army so, until we have more info, we stay here." Everyone nodded. We got up and started to leave the library.

"Ahhh!" Someone yelled. We all turned around to see Sonic upside down in the air held by a rope. I tried to keep a serious face but everyone started laughing and I lost it.

"Ha ha," he said, "very funny, Tails! Now get me down!" All of a sudden he came crashing down to the floor and Tails came out behind the couch with a pice of rope that was connected to one of Sonic's legs.

"Don't try the banana trick on me again," Tails said unwrapping the rope from his best friend's leg.
