I sat alone and on a ledge overlooking the ocean. I always felt more at peace here. My legs were crossed. I attempted to meditate to calm my mind, however, my mind was too clouded with thoughts. I took a look at my hand. There, the Triforce appeared. The Triforce was three triangles, two on the bottom one on top. The right bottom was glowing. The Triforce of Courage. I didn't know how long I've had it. Impa used to, no thinks, that I was born with it. She was still alive, I know it. As for the Triforce of Courage, I've kept it a secret from the others, but I don't know how Kyrem found out.
"Rhion!" A distant voice called. The symbol on my hand disappeared just as Sonic came racing over.
"There you are! I've been looking for you for a while."
"Sorry, just thinking," I told him.
"Well, let's get home." I got up and we started to walk away. I heard something like a twig breaking. I tapped Sonic's shoulder. He nodded to let me know he heard it too.
"Alright! Who's in there? Tails if you're trying to scare us-" He was cut off by an invisible force pushing him over the edge.
"Sonic!" I ran over to him. He was barley holding on. I grabbed his hand that was in the air.
"Don't let go!" He shouted panicked. I had never seen him so panicked. I started to pull him up. I felt something push me and I fell over with him. We plunged into the ocean. I must have let go of his hand because I didn't see him. I swam upwards, my face breaking out of the ocean. I looked around for Sonic, but I couldn't find him. I quickly went back under. For some reason, I could see clearly. I desperately looked around for him. I dove deeper into the ocean. I found him, out cold on the sea floor. I grabbed him and started to head up. I couldn't. My foot was stuck in between a crevasse. I kept trying to swim up to no avail. I was running out of breath and if I didn't hurry, we'd both die here. Mudkip came out of his Pokeball. I tried to lift Sonic up to him. He tried to take the hedgehog but to no avail. He attempted to get under the crevasse to get my foot out, again it was stuck. He came out and looked at me sadly. I tried to tell him to go up without me. He shook his head. Suddenly, a bright light surrounded him. I nearly let go of my breath. He was evolving! His body grew taller, four little legs became two hands and two legs. The fin on his head became stouter. The light stoped. Mudkip had become a Marshtomp. He smiled and grabbed my foot. Somehow, he managed to break it free. I quickly swam up to the surface, Marshtomp giving me speed. At last, we broke the surface. I swam for shore. I launched both of us onto it. I coughed up water.
"S-sonic?" I asked. He was still unconscious. Lucky, Impa had taught me CPR. I started to push on his chest. He woke up suddenly. He rolled over and coughed.
"You okay?" I asked.
"I-I-"
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-"
"I can't swim," he said suddenly.
"Wh-what?"
"I can't swim. That's why I was so panicked."
I sat down next to him. "Never learned?"
"No it's impossible for me to learn. I don't know why. I've tried and tried. I can only swim with a life jacket or a floating device."
"Sonic-" I was cut off by a large blow of wind. We looked up as snow started to fall.
"Let's find a cave to stay in for the night." We ran to find safety. We got in a cave just as it got really bad. Sonic was shivering, desperate for warmth. I grabbed some wood outside. I rubbed the snow off.
"W-w-we d-d-don't have anything to s-s-start it," he muttered. I smiled at him.
"Never u-underestimate me," I informed him. I took my sword out and started to bang it against the wood.
"T-that's n-n-not going to-" he was cut off by a spark lighting the wood. A fire started. He scrambled towards the fire. I sat down as well. Soon we were warm.
"The only thing we need now is some marshmallows." I laughed.
"And chocolate."
"Don't forget the gram crackers." We balled over laughing. I soon fell asleep.
