"I never realized how big the forest was," Asriel commented to me. It had been a few hours since we left and we were well into the forest. Unfortunately, that meant more monsters. We hadn't encountered any so far but I kept my hand close to my sword.
"Of course it's huge," I answered, "the forest had been around for centuries. No one's sure when it started but, it connects everywhere together. It's kind of like a maze. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll get lost quickly."
"Enough with the history Rhion," Bowser Jr. told me, "are we there yet?"
I laughed. "Almost." We continued to walk with Asriel asking me questions about the forest.
"Dose any of this look familiar?" I finally asked.
"I don't think so," he replied glumly.
I pated him on the shoulder. "It's okay. We'll help get your memories back."

We soon walked from the forest into a canyon. It also got hotter.
"Wow it's hot here," Asriel commented.
"Yea especially living in a winter town so long," I said before Bowser Jr. could make a snarky comment. We turned a corner and saw two creatures in front of a tunnel.
"Are those..." Asriel asked pointing.
"Gorons," I told him.
"They look scary."
I nodded. "They're on guard for monsters. Probably best if I hide my sword." I pulled my shirt over my sword. I covered it as best as I could but it still showed a bit. As we got closer, I could see how they looked better. Strongly built but barely coming up to my waist, they looked like rocks. Both of them had a helmet over their face covering their eyes but not their mouth.
"Halt!" The left one yelled when we were closer. We stoped. "This is Goron territory. Outsiders are not allowed."
"We have a message from your chieftain," I replied getting the letter out from my satchel. I handed it to them. They quickly scanned through it. Asriel stayed behind me.
Finally the right one spoke. "We were not informed that brother Darunia sent a request of help. However, you aren't lying and the letter looks like his writing. We will call a escort." I sighed relief as they blew a horn. I gently touched Asriel's hand to assure that it was okay. He peaked out from behind me. A few seconds later, some Gorons came out of the tunnel led by a tall creature that wasn't a Goron. The creature was much taller than one, about my height, and wearing full armor. I couldn't see their face as a mask was covering their full face except for their eyes which were purple.
"So you're the ones who answered?" The leader asked. I nodded.
"My name is Rhion. This is Asriel and Bowser Jr. We come to offer help." He momentarily looked shocked before nodding.
"Right this way." He led us through the tunnel. It took us a while before we saw the community. Tons of little structure were set up and Gorons were everywhere.
"We use to live near Death Mountain, but we had to move under here due to the Lizalfos invading."
"Lizalfos?" Asriel asked.
"They're lizard like monsters. We would have won except they had the help of the Dragon Knight, Volga. The chieftain is this way." He led us through a tunnel at the back of the cave.
"So who are you exactly?" Bowser Jr. asked. Our escort laughed.
"I'm not a Goron as you can tell. I'm the captain of Gorons and Brother Darunia's guard."  We were led into a large chamber. A statue was in the middle along with some other odd things. A large Goron was in front of a table and had his back to us. Three more Gorons were with him. The captain cleared his throat. The big Goron turned around. He was the biggest Goron we'd seen with spiked hair on his neck. He had a large hammer next to him. He smiled when he saw us.
"Ah so you did get my letter," he said. "I am Darunia, chieftain of the Gorons." He looked at me. "You're Rhion correct?"
I took a step back. "How do you know my name?"
"I'm often in touch with Impa. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from Hyrule since it fell." I felt light headed and stumbled.
"Rhion, you okay?" Asriel asked. I nodded.
"Brother, would you mind showing these two around?" Darunia asked the captain. "I want to have a talk with Rhion."
