Legend of the pure hearts

Chapter 7

"Well, I don't feel left out," Sonic said sarcastically after the glowing stoped.
"You mean, you're not a Pure Heart?" Asriel asked.
"Nope, but he still is a great friend and fighter," Tails answered. Sonic smiled at him.
"Okay," I said sipping hot cocoa Ortinsia had made. It was decent, smooth and rich as usual with the perfect amount of marshmallows.
"So all the Pure Hearts are here. What's our next plan of action?"
"Wait," Asriel interrupted, "what is a Pure Heart?" I forgot he might not know what they were. We explained the legend to him.
"That wasn't the last of those monsters," I told him, "we'll see them for a long while." He fidgeted nervously.
"This is a lot to take in," he said, "I can barely remember my name and now-"
"Wait," Amy interrupted, "you can barely remember you're name?"
"Yes that's the only thing I can remember since I woke up." A memory flashed through my head.
"Rhion, you ok?" Moogle asked. When we first found her, she called us Kupo. Now she called us by our names.
"Yes I'm fine," I told her, "why?"
"You had a strange look on your face," I hadn't meant to show it.
"I guess I'm just tired."
"It has been a long day," Bowser Jr. replied. "Maybe we should hit the hay." We all agreed and left the room. I took Asriel to an empty room across the hall from me. The room was full when we went in. A small bed with green sheets was on the east wall. A wardrobe along with a bookcase on the north and a table on the west.
"The room is magic so it's designed how you want it. Any questions?" I asked
"Why are you guys being so nice to me?" He asked. "You barely know me and you're offering me a place to stay. Why?"
"Asriel, I know this is hard for you to believe, but we want to protect you. Those monsters probably know what you are and if we leave you alone you'll either be captured or killed by them." He was silent. "If you need anything I'll be across the hall."

I rolled over and checked the clock. 1:00. I can't remember what woke me, but I couldn't get back to sleep. I finally got out of bed and put a blue sweater on. My top was light blue and the bottoms were white with blue stripes in the same style as my regular clothes. I walked out of the room being quiet to avoid waking others up. Asriel was in the kitchen when I got there. He was on top of the counter trying to get something.
"What are you trying to get?" I asked startling him in the process.
"Tea," he answered. I grabbed the tea out of the cupboard and helped him get down.
"Couldn't sleep?" I asked.
"No. You?" He asked. I shook my head and started the water.
"Can I ask you some questions?" He asked.
"Fire away," I answered sitting down.
"Well, how many Pure Hearts are out there?"
"Eight and they're all here." I got up as the kettle went of. I poured tea for both of us.
"Mint tea," I told him putting it down in front of him. "It helps me to sleep." He tasted it.
"Mmm nice and refreshing," he told me. "One more thing, you mentioned that one Pure Heart showed up before some war. Do you know what color?"
I thought about it for a sec. "No one knows really."
"Oh," he sounded disappointed.
"Is this the can't sleep club or," Midna spoke from the doorway.
"Do you need some tea?" I asked. She nodded. I poured her tea and she sat down.
"Did you have another nightmare?" I asked sitting down. She nodded.
"Can I ask what it was about?" Asriel asked nervously.
"Well goat boy," she answered, "you're not the only one with lost memories. They often come in dreams except I can't tell if they're real memories or just dreams."
"How'd you lose you're memories?" He asked
"I'd rather not talk about it," she answered. I looked down to see my tea all gone. I yawned.
"I'm going to try and sleep again," I told them.
"I should too," Asriel answered.
"You guys go ahead," Midna said sipping tea. Asriel and I headed back to our rooms trying not to wake anyone. After saying our goodbyes, I plopped down on my bed and soon fell asleep.
