I was biting my nail as Jeff placed Teresa on one of the beds. She hasn't woken up from her slumber the past few minutes. She's still breathing - which is good.
The only one that wasn't good was Ben. He was dripping in sweat as his hands formed a tight fist. He shook violently and screamed every now and then.
"So, you two don't know her?" Alby asked Thomas and me.
"I've never seen her before. I just met you guys for shucks sake!" Thomas exclaimed.
I shook my head as I lied, "I'd think I would recognize another girl in the Glade."
Alby's voice got was laced with suspicion, "Funny, because she seems to know the two of you."
"Alby, where could I have known this girl? She just came from the Box like an hour ago."
Newt stepped up, "We should wait until she wakes up. We can't really ask all the bloody questions if the She-bean is out cold."
Alby sighed but nodded. He turned to the Med-jacks, "Come get me if anything happens. I don't care if she klunked herself, or if she's thrashing around, any movement from her come get me. Understand."
Clint and Jeff nodded, "Ok."
Alby looked at everyone else in the room, "What are you shanks looking at? Get back to work or you'll be spending the next three days in the Slammer."
The Gladers scurry. I looked at Teresa one last time. You would think she's dead with the way she look. I looked at Thomas to see him looking around the room in confusion before looking at her.
"Thomas?" I called out. He snapped out whatever trace he was in and looked at me. "You comin'?"
He looked at Teresa one last time, "Yeah." He went over to me. "What do I need to do?"
"Like I told you earlier, you're with the Track-Hoes. Let's find Newt and he'll tell you what to do from there."
We began walking, "Is he a Keeper?"
I shook my head, "No, but he'll go a lot easier on you."
There was nothing but silence after. Thomas looked like he was lost in thought when we reached the Gardens. A smile came over my face as I spotted Newt pulling some weaves off. He dropped what he was doing and smiled when he came over.
"Hey, Danny. Thought you'd be with the Builders." Newt said.
I smiled, "I am. Just passing Tom Tom to you before I go."
"See you at dinner?"
I pecked his lips, "Wouldn't miss it." He smiled down at me before I left.

3rd POV
Thomas stood there looking baffled at what just happened. He'd seen Newt kiss the girl once, but that was just on the side of her head. He thought nothing of it.
Newt noticed Thomas' mouth was still open and chuckled, "If I were you, I'd close that bloody thing unless you want some buggers to go inside."
"Wait a minute...you and Dan...you're together, as in couple?" Thomas asked dumbfound.
Newt pats him on the back, "Sorry to disappoint you, Tommy."
Thomas began shaking his head as they head over to the Gardens, "Not disappointed. More like shocked. I only met you guys and I thought Alby would have made some rule about her."
"Alby wasn't the leader back then. Nick thought she shouldn't get some special treatment just because she's the only girl in the Glade. It didn't matter anyway, a few weeks past and the Gladers considered Danny as one of us. Even though she is."
"And out of everyone here she chose to be with you?" Thomas noticed the offended look on Newt's face. "Not that there's anything wrong with you. It's just one girl....thirty guys...seems like there's some competition."
"Trust me, Tommy. If anyone tries to put their hands on her again they'll be sleepin' with the shuck Grievers." Thomas was about to ask another question until Newt handed him a bucket. "Enough questions. It's your trial day and I need you to get more fertilizers near the Deadheads."
Thomas sighed before grabbing the bucket. He knew it was useless to ask questions. He climbed up the little hill through the woods. A Runner that's all Thomas wants to be. Sure, Danielle said she'd put in a good word, but would it be enough?
Thomas stopped in the middle of the clearing when he found a glass casket. Curiosity for the better of him as he walked towards it. The moment he looked inside the casket, he gasped.
There lay a body, not just any body. No this one was cut in half at the waist. The decomposed body had a pair of glasses on his face. What made Thomas sick the most was the writing on top of it.
Just as a reminder.
Thomas felt sick to his stomach. This must be the Creators doing. A reminder if what? Is what he thought. These people, the Creators, are sick of they placed a dead body on the ground.
A twig snapping broke Thomas out of his thoughts. He turns around and there stood another Glader. His veins were popping out of his skin. If looks could kill then Thomas would be six feet under. The boy bared his teeth as he sneered at Thomas. Thomas heard enough from Chuck to know who it is.
Ben.
