- [ Rainbow Dash POV ] -

I pushed open the door to Sugar Cube Corner, and was met by a blast of loud music. It wasn't remixed, which was disappointing, but then I remembered who was stood next to me.

"Hey Dash, I'm gonna run over to the turntables for a sec. Gotta get that bass dropped!" Vinyl said before dancing over to the turntables in the corner of the room. The music instantly got better, but I sighed. Vinyl was my date for the party, I needed her to stay by me all night instead of using her mad DJ skills. I glided across the room and plonked myself next to Vinyl.

"That's right all you party ponies! DJ Pon-3 is here! Let's get this party started!" She placed a record onto the tables with her magic, spun it, then looked at me. "You dont mind me hanging back here for a while, do you?"

I noticed Applejack and Riff walk through the door. "That's cool. I'll go get us some drinks." I didn't wait for an answer; I had zoomed off even before I'd finished speaking. I deliberately swooped over AJ and Riff, and once I had grabbed two drinks, I weaved through the crowd, heading towards where I'd seen AJ. I deliberately bumped into her, careful not to spill the drinks.

"Woah! Oh, Rainbow. I didn't see y'all there." Riff took a step closer to AJ.

"Yeah, I gotta get these drinks up to Vinyl. We're here together." I watched AJ's face for some show of emotion, but she only twitched. "Right. Well, I'd better get back to Vinyl." I zoomed into the air and landed next to Vinyl, who was spinning a record.

"Great! Thanks Dash!" She emptied a glass of the drink I'd brought her into her mouth. I absent-mindedly took a sip of my drink, and only after draining the cup realised that it was one of Pinkie's cocktails.

"Urgh, not again..." I felt slightly woozy, but I hadn't drank nearly as much as last time.

"What is it?" Vinyl asked as I swayed.

"Just the drink."

"Aw man. A Pinkie cocktail?"

I nodded.

"Do you need some water?"

I shook my head to clear it, but no dice. "I just need some air." I flew as steadily as I could towards the door, crashing out onto the cold ground. I lay there for a long while, breathing and letting the coldness of the ground ease my dizziness. Eventually someone came outside to join me, pushing the door open with a creak.
