I would just like to say, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR 300+ VIEWS! I just released the first chapter little more than a month ago, and I had basically no hope for this book. Thank you all so much, I can't say it enough! Sorry I haven't released in a while, I got so caught up in Fairy Tail Fanfictions (Lucy's Revenge) that I forgot to write my new chapter. Here you go!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Adrien's PoV:
Sunlight streamed through the gaps in my curtains. Great, just great. I rubbed at my bleary eyes, and stumbled out of bed. Finding my way sleepily to the bathroom, I did my normal thing. After that was done, I stepped out like a whole new person. Every hair was in place, no eye-bags and my skin was almost glowing! It was weird. Whenever I woke up in the morning, I looked dreadful. But as soon as I finish my bath, something happens, and I visibly perk up. Feeling sad, I changed out of the comfy, warm PJs and into the stiff, cold attire my dad chooses for me to wear. Of course, as a famous pirate capturer, he wanted me to follow in his footsteps. But to be honest, I felt the job was too....limiting. My life so far has been, too boring. I wanted to have fun, be free! As soon as I started sword training, I felt an itch I couldn't describe. It was like, I wanted to use the sword but for a different reason. Due to my luck, I zoned out, and tread on something sharp. "Ow!" I grimaced as I hopped on one leg, massaging my other foot.
Then, I saw what I had tread on. That was weird, I'm sure I've memorised everything in my over-sized room before, but I've never noticed this! I picked it up, and examined it closely. It was a box, basically a hexagonal prism with complex red lines on top, and the rest was coloured midnight black. Curious, I opened it. A bright green light burst forth, and I flung my arms over my eyes to not blind myself. When the green light faded, the black box lay on the floor, a silver ring glinting in the morning sun, but that wasn't what I was gaping at. A black creature, with green eyes like mine and 3 antennaes was floating in mid-air! It yawned, sitting crossed legged, before starting to dart around the room. "Can you eat this?" it said. "No!" I cried and I ran towards it, only for it to dart away again.
"Ooo, this looks tasty!"
"Stop!"
"Nah, it's too hard. Ooo, what about this?"
"Come on!"
This went on for I don't know how long, but it felt like eternity. Finally, I caught it between my hands and asked, "What are you? How can you talk? How can you fly?" It said, " I'm a kwami. I turn you into another person who carries the power of bad luck. You embody the power of destruction. Does that help?" I shook my head.
Sighing, it zipped out of my hands, and started fiddling with various things in my room. " Name's Plagg. I give you powers to do whatever you want with them. I've been around for 5,000 years, and will probably be around for a lot more. I'm commonly known as a 'cat kwami'........"
After a long and boring speech later, I was too impatient to hear any more. I had already put the ring on my fourth finger on my right hand, so great was my excitement. "So, what do I say to transform into this amazing persona?"
"Claws Out!" came the reply.
I felt a need to punch my fist out, and I went along with the flow. "Plagg, Claws Out!" I called. A bright green 'wind' swirled around me, and I closed my eyes until it died down. Then, without waiting for another second, I ran towards the mirror to look at my appearance. What greeted me was a very, very peculiar sight. I had a black T-Shirt, with a green belt, black coat with green highlights, black pants, black boots, a sword scabbard filled in at my side, but was most surprising was that I had a black bandana over my eyes. "I'm ready." I smirked to my reflection.
