Defeating the Villain

I changed how long each paragraph is, because I just realised when reading it on my phone, they were too long, and I really don't like that so tadaa (I write on my iPad by the way)! Urgh, I hate school, but the holidays are so boring! Anyone who can sympathise?

Marinette's PoV:

Leading my group which included LadyWifi and Puppeteer, we went around the super villain towards the north side of our circle. But, as we got nearer, we heard interesting noises.

It wasn't normal fighting noises, but then again, this supervillain did have superpowers. It was like, swords with.....crackling fire? As we peeked around the buildings, we saw Chat Noir's crew fighting with the super villain!

She had a dark brown dress with intricate gold swirls covering her arms and chest. There were two leg slits on either side of her which had dark brown laces threaded through, and she had a black choker to complete the look. She had a black mask covering her eyes, and she was throwing fireball after fireball at her attackers.

All the civilians had cleared out, except one or two groups of eager reporters who wanted to record this mystery person. A lot of the buildings had been destroyed, some still smouldering with the remaining smoke.

LadyWifi shook my shoulder, snapping me out of my observations. Looking around, I saw my crew spread out in between Chat's crew. Nodding, I held up one hand and in 5 taps, I made a circle. Then, we joined the fray.

I jumped forward and dodging stray fireballs, I made my way towards her. I aimed for the back of her knee, and hit my target. She turned around, surprised, to glare at me.

"I am Flame Controller, and I will not lose to you!" she yelled, throwing a massive fireball in my direction.

I was preparing to jump, when Chat Noir somehow appeared, and carried me away to safety behind the buildings. Bridal style, I might add.

"I didn't need your help!" I hissed, not liking how he had stepped in to 'save' me.

"I know my lady, but she definitely seemed quite fired up!" he wriggled his eyebrows.

Sighing, I jumped out of his arms and pushed his face away.

"Come on, this is no time to be fooling around. We've got to defeat Flame Controller first!"

"Of course bugaboo. I'm on it!" he winked. He gave me a 2-finger salute before jumping off again.

I rolled my eyes at his nicknames for me, before concentrating back on the akumatised person. Now her flames had taken on snake forms, and were slithering through the games between the buildings, trying to find us while still defending herself.

Finally, everyone had worn Flame Controller out, with her flames flickering, not as strong as before. Chat Noir used his Cataclysm to destroy a building, which fell on top of her and bought us valuable time.

I called out, "LUCKY CHARM!" and a shuriken appeared. I looked at it, trying to figure out how to use it.

"Anytime now Ladybug!" Chat Noir called.

"Jesus, give a girl time to think!" I snarkily replied.

Then, I spotted a few bottles of goo sitting up on a balcony just a bit away from Flame.

Smiling deviously, I called out to everyone else, "Stay out of her way! I've got a plan!"

Everyone moved obediently out of the way. I threw my shuriken and knocked all the cans down onto Flame Controller. The goo oozed onto her, trapping her and dozing out her flames. I scanned her from head to toe, looking for the infested object.

A blue butterfly ornament on her right hip caught my attention. It must be in there. I walked cautiously towards her, still not sure what she's capable of.

I tried to pull the piece of jewellery out of the goo, but it was impossible to get it. Then I used my shuriken, throwing it just right to detach the butterfly, goo and all, to let it fall on the ground.

I stamped on it, caught the akuma, purified it, and erased all traces of the fight. After that, I turned towards my crew and shouted, "Let's go; our work is done here!" Message obviously heard, I proceeded to turn and walk back to my ship, leaving the other crew dumbfounded at my quick ending.

My crew smirked and followed me, but Princess Fragrance and The Evillustrator went to help the akumatised person, now just a confused civilian, before coming back to the ship.

Chat Noir's crew just stood there, in shock, still not processing what happened. The only person I saw showing any emotion when peeking through my window was Chat Noir, standing there, eyes smouldering.

I watched his figure get smaller and smaller as we pulled away, eventually disappearing into the horizon.
