Omg, over 50+ views and I only posted the first chapter six-ish days ago! Thank you guys so much! For all you people wondering how often I update, I would like to upload a new chapter everyday, but if I don't, I'll tell you why. Obviously, I'll tell you if anything changes. I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had a 2 dance concerts which altogether lasted for 6 hours, so I had to cram in all my housework beforehand and I didn't get time to publish my new chapter. Anyway, here's another chapter!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Marinette's PoV:
"The last memories I remember were from when I was 12 years old. I was just an ordinary civilian. I had a normal life, with a few close friends, school and the stress of my daily life. I was admittedly a bit nerdy compared some other kids, and one of my closest friends was always just 1 or 2 questions behind me. One day, she was so proud of her score, and she should of been! She got a 98 out of 100, but I did better. I showed her my sheet. It had a 100 out of 100 written on it. I thought it wasn't mean, hell, I tried to show her in the nicest way possible! But I think that was the final straw. She screamed at me and tore my sheet up, yelling at me for being a nerd and a show off. She said to me,"I can't believe I had put up with you for so long. You seemed nice enough but after the first few tests, I knew something was wrong. Though I thought I'll see for a bit longer. But it kept on coming at me, day after day after day. I've had it now. You were never one of my closest friends!" All her friends, which turned out to be all of my 'closest' friends included, backed her up. I was heartbroken. All my life, I never knew they plotted against me like this, and they were my closest friends! I just sat there in shock. In jeering, she put a phone sticker on my nail, saying that I should go and imagine a life with actual friends. I ran out of the classroom, sat down on a park bench, and that's all I remember." she shakily told me.
"That must have been terrible, knowing you've been lied to you your whole life. But you're here now, and I promise that I'll be a real friend to you." I looked into her eyes and told her honestly. "Can...can I trust you?" she hesitated. I sighed, this will be a long day.
"Do you want me to tell you what happened first?" I asked.
"Yes please."
"Well, I don't know much, but you basically had an akuma fly into your phone sticker and possess you. You were..." I wracked my brain, thinking of a word that I could use. "Akumatised! Yeah, that's it! What that means is that because you were feeling negative emotions, the man controlling the akuma sensed this, and used it to his advantage. He sent an akuma, or an evil butterfly, to you in order to possess you, and made you do his bidding. You must have been possessed for at least 3 years!"
"What the hell? I don't want to be possessed!"
I smiled. She seemed to be getting better.
"Don't worry, it's over now. But if it makes you feel any better, you were the captain of this akumatised crew. Hey, can you use a sword?"
"Oh please, I'll have you know, I was a master swords-woman when I was a child, and those memories are still fresh in my head!" she scoffed.
"Well, do you wanna make a deal? You work for me for a week or so, and if you still don't trust me you can go."
"And if I grow to trust you?"
"You can stay with me and become my second-in-command! I'm a pirate if you couldn't already tell. I'm making my crew members from saving your crew, and making them mine, if they want to of course. If they don't they can skedaddle. I'm taking this ship after saving everyone."
"You do realise that it's still technically my ship?"
"Oh, ummm, yeah..."
I forgot to consider that when I made the plan.
