Just wanted to say: HAPPY 2017! I'm definitely looking forward to killing my new year resolutions! (Note the sarcasm.) Oh well, a girl can try.... Oh, and when I mention that Adrien took a bath, remember this story is set in medieval times, so there were no showers back then!

Hawkmoth's PoV:

These past few weeks have been the most frustrating, to say the least. I've sent crew after crew of my Akumas' to target Chat Noir and Ladybug, sometimes more than 2 boats at once! But they...they....slip through my fingers every damn time! My Akumas' don't even make their crews sweat at all. To top it all off, every time I send one ship to battle them, they purify all my akumatised crew, so I keep losing more and more power! I only have around 5 ships left, when I originally had 40. It seems I'll have to take more drastic measures....

Marinette's PoV:

I was swaying peacefully in my hammock I had lashed up on the deck soaking up the sunlight, when a loud explosion sounded, effectively snapping myself out of my Adrien thinking trance and on high alert. LadyWifi rushed up to me and as always, gave me some info. "It's coming from La Ciotat, a city just half an hour away from here!" I nodded, jumping gracefully out of my hammock, "Then let's get moving." I stated. LadyWifi gave me sarcastic salute, before rushing off to get cracking. I rolled my eyes; the nerve of that girl will never fail to amuse me. I started walking down to my private chambers so I could talk to Tikki about what she thought was happening. There, no one could disturb me until I was ready. As soon as Tikki flew out of my earrings, I knew something was wrong. She looked worried. "Marinette, you've got to be careful. This has happened before, and this is all Hawkmoth's doing. There will only be one person, but this is no ordinary Akuma crew member. This person will be a supervillain. He/she will have superpowers that will vary every time you fight one of them. They take longer to create, but they are much, much stronger than those Akuma crews you've fought before." she warned me.

"Tikki, don't worry. I promise you, I will defeat and save all of them." I promised.

"Oh Marinette!" she smiled and flew up to my cheek and nuzzled playfully.

I giggled and nuzzled back. I gave her one cookie from my never ending stash under my bed.

"Tikki, ready?"

"When you are!"

"Tikki, Spots On!"

I closed my eyes till the transformation was complete. Ready for confrontation, I headed out and began to prep my crew.

Adrien's PoV:

An explosion rocked our boat, interrupting my sword training practise; I still haven't gotten over the fact that she beat me. The Bubbler ran up to me. "That explosion was just in the middle of the city we're docked at right now, La Ciotat!" Sliding the sword with a twirl back into the scabbard, I replied, "Okay, let's check it out. Give me a sec to change, then we'll see what all that was about." He nodded, and walked back out to tell the rest of the crew. As soon as I arrived back at my room, Plagg flew out of my ring and landed on my bed, mumbling something about 'Give me Camembert or I'm gonna die'. Face palming, I held my nose, walked up to the cabinet the furthest away from my bed and took a chunk and gave it to him. He visibly perked up and swallowed it whole. While he was lying there with a fat belly and rubbing it satisfactorily, I took a brief bath to get the sweat off me. I changed into a different pair of clothes and was about to transform back into Chat Noir, but Plagg just cut me off saying, "The explosion was caused by a supervillain which Hawkmoth created. They're stronger then what you have faced so far. That's all I'm bothered to tell you."

I rolled my eyes. Typical Plagg.

"Gee, thanks."

"No problem. Just give me more-"

"Plagg, Claws Out!"

After I was back in my disguise, I went to meet my crew and discuss strategy.

I met my crew at the usual big meeting room. I strode confidently towards my chair situated right bang-smack at the head of the meeting table. Nothing less fur the leader, am I right? A map of the city was already laid out before me. I stayed standing, contemplating what to do. After a lull of thought, I slammed my hands down on the table, not surprising anyone. I did train them to not be caught off guard whenever, wherever. Glad to see it helped. "There's not much we can do, but I would say to split off into 4 groups and surround the person in all directions-"

"How do you know it's a person?" interjected Volpina. Always the intellectual one.

"I have my sources." I smirked.

She rolled her eyes, but said nothing further.

"Anyway, before I was so kindly interrupted, we surround the person and then we spread out into a circle. Keep out of the person's sight, obviously, and wait for my signal." I raised one hand and made a clawing motion. "Then, we strike. But not all at once. Remember what I told you, attack in twos and threes, always aiming for different spots. That's Stage 1, to wear the enemy down. Stage 2, when they're stumbling around, still finding its whereabouts, that's when we all attack at once and aim for the legs. Stage 3, send it crashing to the floor, pin him/her down, and I'll use my Cataclysm to destroy the akuma-infested-object. Got it?"

Everyone nodded. Satisfied, I cracked an evil smile.

"Ready to kick Hawkmoth's butt?"

"AYE!" came the deafening reply.

"Crew Chat Noir, move out!"

Marinette's PoV:

Studying the layout of the map, I waited until everyone trickled into the meeting room. By then, the ship was anchored at La Ciotat, safe and sound. Without me knowing, I told my crew the same plan Chat Noir told his just half an hour earlier with just a few tiny tweaks. As we all rushed out of the ship, I saw a black ship with the familiar Le Chat Noir engraved in the side. Hmm, it seems Chat Noir is also here. Hopefully we won't come across each other. Ignoring that horrible thought, I pushed it aside and kept leading my group to circle around to the north point. Little did I know, what I didn't want to happen, was going to be inevitable.

THANK YOU FOR 1K VIEWS! I just hit another milestone, and so I want to thank you (mostly silent) readers, but hey, I can't complain when I'm one of those too. I can't tell you how much it means to me. I bet you think it's just me sprouting some sappy words, but trust me, it makes me feel really proud and that's what makes me keep writing for you guys. I might be just some ego-orientated girl, but that's what makes me the devil. Once again, thank you and peace out minous 😘
