Omg it's finally time! I know I've been going on and on about Marinette/Ladybug, but now it's finally time for Adrien/Chat Noir to take the stage! (Or the Wattpad story.) Sadly I'll only be able to post every 3 days, hopefully I can bring it up to 2, I'll let you know if anything changes. I'm changing it to every 3 days so I can make each chapter longer for you guys who like long chapters.

Marinette's PoV:

As I walked closer to the person, I realised it was a boy around the same age as me. He was also a bit taller than me. Well, I'll admit it. A very, very, handsome boy. He had gorgeous forest green eyes which I could get lost in, blonde hair that seemed to shine in the restaurant lights, fair skin without any imperfections, a finely chiseled face, and a thin but definitely muscular physique. Wait, I couldn't think like that! I'm just curious is all. Definitely. Shaking my head, I walked the rest of the way up to the boy and asked, "Could I sit here?" He looked up at me, and my breath caught. His long eyelashes framed his eyes in the most flattering way, and it made him, if even possible, even more irresistible. "Sure, I don't mind." he answered. In a sort of daze, I sat down. Quickly flagging down a waiter, I gave my order and started making small talk. But I knew I had to keep my princess status a secret as well. Wow, now I have 2 secret identities.

"Hey, my name is Meredith."

That was the first name that popped in my head that started with the letter M. I wanted at least some resemblance to my real name.

"Hello, my name is Adrien. Nice to meet you." he replied.

But he was too stiff. Great, now I'm even more curious.

"Why are you here? Is tonight a special occasion?" I probed.

"No, I-ah-just wanted to have a night out. You?"

"Oh yeah-ahaha-I just wanted to do the same."

On the inside, I cringed so hard. It was official. I was the most terrible liar in the universe. But then again, I couldn't tell him that I was the captain of Miraculous Ladybug and was looking for a place to put our looted treasure could I? Across the room, we could hear a man shouting, probably drunk, "Eh, have you heard about the looting of Les Sables-d'Olonne? It was by a pirate ship called Miraculous Ladybug!" Oh god. News had travelled fast.

"What do you think about the looting?" he inquired.

"Oh, well, I think considering the pirates could have definitely taken more but didn't, it's a bit weird."

"Oh yeah, they said something about them only taking around 1/10 of their savings. I didn't think of that before, thank you." he smiled.

Oh dear god, when he smiled, I think if I wasn't sitting already, I would crumpled to the floor, melted by his radiance.

"Yo-you're welcome!" I squeaked.

Since when had I started stuttering?

"Did you know that they think they know who's the captain of the ship?" he inquired.

"Uh, no?"

Oh dear.

"The guards that fought with them said that there was a girl who jumped into the fight and took out most of them herself. She was wearing a red bandanna with black spots on top."

Oh, crap. But then again, they would have found out the leader sooner or later. I just had rather preferred it to be later. Oh well, what's done is done, is what my father would have said.

"Meredith, are you okay?"

"Ah, yes, yes I'm fine."

Stupid me, thinking about Father had made my eyes fill up with tears without me realising.

"W-what do you think about the crew?"

I braced myself for any harsh words that might come.

"Well, they definitely aren't the filthy rich wandering around these days. I get the vibe that they are misfits-"

I ducked my head; of course he'd think like that, no one in their right mind would think we are good people.

"-but they aren't full on evil if you know what I mean? They seem like they only loot so they can get by, and I have a nagging feeling that they might save us from something in the near future, but that's probably me going a bit crazy." Adrien laughed.

I jerked my head up, my eyes meeting his forest green ones. I can die happy now. The waitress came back with a steaming bowl of chicken soup, and I tucked in.

"H-Have you already eaten?" I observed.

"Yeah, I was just sitting here thinking about stuff."

"Well, I'd better get going, n-nice to meet you Adrien!"

"Likewise."

Curse my stuttering! I bet he thought of me as a gigantic fool now, great going Marinette. Oh well, I probably won't see him again, and I'll forget all about him. I better get back to the ship. Meanwhile......

Adrien's PoV : (ANOTHER SURPRISE!!!)

Tonight was a nice change to my daily routine. My father, Gabriel Agreste, the most famous pirate capturer that ever lived as well as a king, was being an ass to me again, so I escaped to this restaurant to think. He wasn't always like this. When I was a young boy, my mum, him and I all played together. We were a happy family. Then, my mum suddenly disappeared and there was no trace of her left. My dad grew distant, transferring jobs to start capturing pirates. I bet he thought pirates had captured her. Soon, he started treating me like a business partner, and not even his own son. We never ate at the same table anymore, barely talked anymore, and don't even think about laughing together anymore. He hasn't spoken one kind sentence to me since my mom disappeared. He even went as far to employ an assistant and personal escort to look after me instead! Though all they do is give me my schedule and take me to useless meetings there to meet my cold father. So, I travelled to my safe haven, this restaurant. I found this restaurant many years ago, and have been coming here ever since. You could probably have called me a regular. I knew everyone here, and everyone knew me. They all welcomed me, and so I was selfish enough to keep coming back.

Then, a girl approached me. Definitely new, I hadn't seen her around here before. She was the same age as me, but about a head shorter I'm estimating. She had blackish-blueish hair tied in a loose plait, big bluebell eyes and pale skin. Surprisingly, she choose to sit opposite me and start talking to me. I don't think she knew about me being the famous pirate catcher's son, so I decided to keep it a secret and let her continue treating me like a normal person. I hate it when people start paying me compliments, just so I could give my father a good word about them. I actually had some fun talking with her, it was a breath of fresh air. She stuttered a little and had a pink tinge on her cheeks. Probably from the cold. I could see her as my friend one day. To be honest, I was kind of sad when she left. But then again, that reminds me, I better get going as well, and face my crap father. Sighing, I got up and trudged my way back home. On my way home, I saw an old man lying on ground, struggling to reach his walking stick. He had grey hair, a grey moustache, wore a Hawaiian T-Shirt and grey pants. I helped him up, and he said in a heavily-accented Chinese voice, "Thank you young man, please call me Fu." He then patted me on my chest. "No problem Fu!" I replied and continued on my way home.

When I got home, I was relieved when I saw that everyone was asleep. I ran up the stairs and flopped onto my oversized bed. Soon after, I closed my drooping eyes and fell into a deep sleep. Because I was asleep, I missed the black box with intricate red markings fall out of my front pocket and onto the floor....
