Chapter 4:

"Well did you like it?" I asked as we exited the movie theatre. It was eleven o'clock and dark. Only the street lights lit up the street. We walked to the parking lot and to his car.

"I agree with you, it was better then I expected." He laughed unlocking my side and opening it for me.

"Thank-you." I smiled getting in.He got in on the other side. Max had treated me to a nice dinner at a expensive restuarant...which I told him not to that we should go to Wendy's or some where cheap. But he insisted. He kept telling me he had a lot of money. After we walked around downtown where the streets were full of young adults and teenagers. We did have a lot in common and we did have dislikes that we debated on: like; he liked skateboarding as a sport more then football.But it wouldn't be a good relationship if we had everything in common. You had to have some stuff to debate on.

"I never understood playboy."I said as we drove home.

"Why? It's a male fantasy. Young men like me look up to the Playboy mansion guy. I have respect for him. He has all those good looking girls at his beck and call." He sighed laughing.

"But come on wouldn't you want to settle down with one girl and have kids?"

"Yea...maybe he has a different mind set?" He shrugged.

"What if I was a Playboy bunny in disguise?" I asked smiling.

He looked me over once.

"Nope."

"No? Why? I'm fit."

"Yea but Bunnies have a more girly personality, and a more dramatic life style. You're more of a laid back girl."

"Thank the lord." I said sighing happily.

"Okay I will see you at school on monday. I had a really good time. Thank-you for dinner and the movie...Although I insisted no bu-" I was silenced when he kissed me. His lips were full and warm.

"That's your payment. Now go to bed or...do chores or something." He laughed.

"Bye." I smiled. I got out and walked to my door and he drove off.

"Avril?" My mom called as I opened the door.

"Yea mum?" I asked.

"Just checking to make sure it was you." She was calling from the kitchen. I walked in and the whole pack surrounded the table.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Some unwanted activity." Uncle John said. He wasn't my uncle but he felt like it. He was dads' beta.

"Interesting." I mused walking to the fridge and getting a water bottle.

"Avril stay out of the forest. Tyler, Josh, you too." Dad ordered crossing his arms. Mom said when dad was serious it was like he grew taller. His dominance was huge. He was big and strong like a dad should be whereas mom was small, and skinny. Nobody thought they were mates. They knew dad was Alpha but they would never guess mom. Some people said she looked like the Omega.

I would have guessed they weren't because they don't show any sort of affection like the other pack mates do. Yea they will stand close. But they would never hug, kiss or do any touching.

I wonder if mom liked that...?

"Sure thing, Pops." I laughed patting his shoulder. At any serious time I could always make the pack crack a smile. Everyone asked how I made my dad laugh at such serious times. He shook his head cracking a smile.

"Bed." He said.

"It's like One and I am seventeen and-"

"You live under my house and I am your father. Young girls need their sleep."

"Girls that are like seven. You're ten years off, father." I called leaving the room. I love how Josh and Tyler can stay up. I went up to my room and put on my pyjamas and went straight to bed.

Next friday Max was at my locker as the bell rang.

"Hi." I smiled opening it.

"There's a party down by the lake tonight. Bonfire...but would you like to go with me?"

"Sure. Can you pick me up though?"

"Yea. I'll be at your house at eight."

"Okay see ya then."

"Later." He said flashing me a white perfect smile. Then Alexei showed up. It's like when Max was around he took my mind off of him...
