Chapter 15-

Alexei's POV:

We were outside finishing off the last bit of the demons. Mia helped us by killing most of them.She was fast, quick, agile and strong for a young girl...at least I assumed she was young. There were over thirty dead demons spread on the lawn with hearts beside them. Blood splattered over almost everyone, people were tired, exhausted, drained, bleeding, cut, broken limbs...most of the vampires cuts and broken arms, legs or whatever healed quickly

"Max ran off with the girl. He isn't far his trail is fresh and I smell blood. We helped you incase he has another army of these vile things."

"Well let's go." Aubbrie said.

"Let the young girl lead the way. She helped us. She betrayed her own kind knowing they are wrong, she knows where this man is." My father said holding up his hand.

"Follow me." Mia nodded. She bolted off into the forest with all of us chasing her. My father was right the farther we ran the more I smelt fresh blood. My heart felt heavy and my stomach became sensitive and uneasy.

"He's right up here, he is hiding. He is a coward to face all of us in person. He knows we have an army." Mia explained in a hush whisper as she abrubtly stopped. I stumbled on my feet as my legs shook to run in and rip his head off.

"We should surround him. Best thing to do so he has no escaping." She whispered. We all nodded and everyone formed into a circle. Mia held up her hand signalling us to not move. She walked out and gasped.

"Avril!" She said.

"My little girl." Aubbrie said. She shook with anger. Her eyes became damp and she almost went in stumbling forward. Kaleb's face was hard and cold as he held onto her arm stopping her from doing anything.

"Mia, how could you betray me?" That was that Max kids' voice.

"Betray you? For the past fifty years I have stood by your side. Obeyed you and you locked me up and took me away from my family! This...possesion of being a demon is not a gift it's a filthy curse."

"It's a gift you never learned to accept, Mia."

"I will never accept it. Now look what you have done. Taken this poor innocent girl and almost killed her. Max I assure you, you will get the same punishment." She promised.

"You're going to kill me Mia? You and your vampire and werwolf clan hiding right now. I'm stronger Mia. I always will be. Especially with her blood in me I am unstoppable. I beg you to try though."

"I assure you I will." She promised. We heard shrieks coming and everyone flinched at them. They were light but still strong enough to stun us. Everyone ran in at once.

I froze. It was a battle between demons.

Max a powerful,very large very strong demon against Mia a very small yet fast demon. She was outweighed and he was twice her height. They were up in the air but still wolves exploded and vampires snarled. Everyone loomed on the ground and in the trees incase of a break. I stayed in the trees I hadn't even noticed Avril. All I saw was her mother knelt infront of her. I saw Kaleb he was the biggest out of all wolves. He stared at Aubbrie and kept switching back and forth.

Max tried to pierce Mia with his wings but she was too quick and ended up behind him. When she went to strike out at his heart he turned batting her away like a ball with his wings. She flew against the tree and the tree became dented and Alexander who was in the tree almost fell. Two werewolves snapped at his feet but he kicked them away hard with his own feet.

I watched trying to find a weak point he had that we could target.

As he turned his back towards me I noticed cuts on the back of his wings and one wing was more sunken in and dented then the other.
