"Cause you ain't got
A half a million dollar condo
And you ain't got
A hundred thousand dollar car
But you got a billion dollar body
Trust me I know
You keep it hood no matter where you are
Cause girl you from the ghetto"
Again my cell phone sung.

"Excuse me, I have to take this!" I smiled at my clients and stepped inside of the office of the million dollar home I was selling. "Yes August." I answered, aggravated.

"Girl this Terry!" He laughed into the phone. Terry was one of Aug's friends.....the one who ate me out.

"Oh hey. What'cha need? I'm showing a house." I tried to speed it up.

"Nothing. Just calling to check on you. See how you doing. Aug told me y'all got into it, and I wanted to make sure you were ok." He sounded so sweet.

Terry had to be about three inches taller than Aug, and about two shades lighter. Just like Aug, he was a typical New Orleans nigga. Unlike Aug, he wasn't a singer; he was an accountant for the Saints.

"Really? I'm so happy you called. I'm good." I smiled, thinking about someone actually caring.

"You know I care about you. Look I know you gotta get back to work, but just hit me up later. Maybe we can do lunch tomorrow." He more so told me than asked, something I had no problems with.

"I'd love that. Ima holla at you later!" I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Iight Mama." He hung up. I swear this made my day.

I walked back into the foyer where my clients were standing, Mr. and Mrs. Cater.

"So do you all love this home or not?" I cheered up.

"We really do. What is the asking price?" Mr. Cater inquired.

"One point five three, but I believe one point two three would be a good offer." I picked up my papers from the table by the door.

"Can we discuss it tonight and call you in the morning?" Mrs. Cater asked me while looking at her husband.

"Yes. That's no problem." I shuffled the papers in my arms and grabbed my keys.

"Thanks, have a good day!" The young couple smiled as they walked out the door.

I walked into my parents home, not really wanting to be there, but a bitch had to.

"Ma I'm here!" I walked into the living room and placed my gift and handbag down on the table.

"I'm in the kitchen!" She screamed out to me.

After taking my coat off, I strutted to the kitchen in my thirty-two hundred dollar Jimmy Choo blinged-out pumps which complemented my black spandex cocktail dress.

"Hey Mommy! Happy anniversary." I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey baby girl!" She smiled and placed the steak on the plate.

My mother, Adele, was really Creole. She had everything in her, and was lighter than a mug. Her hair was naturally long, and her New Orleans accent was one for the books. My father on the other hand was just simply black. He was tall, handsome, but chubby with a bald head.

"You look cute or whatever!" I smiled at her outfit of choice. She wore an emerald green gown with a spilt on the left side that went all the way up her leg. My mother stays sexy.

"I know. You look cute too!" She handed me a plate. "Huh go put this on the table." She handed me another.

I carefully walked into the dinning room. The table was set, and it confused me. There were four plate settings, two on each side.

"Ma, why are there four plates?" I sat the plates down.

"I got more company!" She answered with attitude.

"Oh" I shrugged.

"Look at my baby girl!" My father walked into the room with his arms open.

"Daddy!!!" I ran to him like the kid I was.

"How was your day?" He kissed my forehead and let me go.

"It was straight. Now how was your day?" I winked.

"Oh we ain't do nothing, fu"

"Daddy I don't want to hear that!" I pushed him and walked back into the kitchen.

"He was just being honest." My momma laughed, handing me the wine.

"Y'all so dog on nasty. Ewe." I walked into the dining room and sat down before I placed the bottle on the table.

"I'm just saying." My mother walked into the room and placed two plates on the side of the table my father was already seated.

"So baby girl...." My father started as he stood up to pull out my mother's chair.

"Yes Daddy?" I poured the wine into my glass, filling it up.

"So I heard at the office that my baby sold six houses this month!" He looked at me like he was satisfied.

"Yea!" I flipped my hair. "I does this!"

"Our child is doing an amazing job." My mother praised me. "Just to think, you ain't want her to even do this. Now she's made a hundred thousand this month." My momma threw shade.

"Oh" was all my father could say. "Now let's say grace so we can eat." He held his hands out.

"Lord we come to you today, thanking you for this food we are about to receive. I also would like to thank you for celebrating another year with my wonderful wife. Thanks for the wonderful daughter you have blessed us with. In Jesus' name," he paused

"Amen" My mother and I said in unison, ending the prayer.

*dong* the doorbell rung.

"Lawd there go my guests." Adele got herself up from the table and ran towards the door.

"Daddy who is that?" I gave a stank look.

"I don't know. I ain't even ask." He shook his head and proceeded to cut his steak.

"Happy Anniversary, Mr. C." A male's voice spoke as soon as he entered the room. I ain't even have to look up to see who it was.

"August!" My father sounded excited and greeted Aug with a manly ass greeting.

"Ri...." Aug looked at me, not really knowing what to say.

"Hi" I continued to eat.

"Nah baby you go sit down." My mother pushed Aug towards the empty seat, right by me.

"OMG this was so much fun." I wiped my mouth and stood up from my seat.

"Wait. We haven't even eaten." My momma held her hand up.

"I'm so full and sleepy." I lied. "Love you!" I kissed my parents and rushed out the house grabbing my things.

My momma had me all fucked up if she thought she was about to trick me into sitting there with Aug like we were happy. Fuck that shit.

I got in my car and drove to the nearest Canes. My mother was right, we hadn't eaten and those two bites of my steak and do shit.

"Chicken Chicken Chicken, what combo are you pickin'?" The woman came on the speaker.

"Yes, can I get the box combo. No coleslaw extra sauce. My drink is a lemonade little ice." I order my usual.

"That'll be seven sixty. Drive to the first window." She instructed me.

I followed what I was told and handed her my debit card. She was a cute girl about sixteen, but you can tell she was a New Orleans chick just by her posture.

"Wait, you know Aug?" She stared at me holding my card in her hand.

"Aug who?" I played dumb.

"August Alsina."She looked at me knowing I knew who she was talking about.

"Something like that why?" I gave her this mug and held my hand out for my card.

"Oh!" She did this smirk like she was thinking something in her hand as she handed me my card.

"Yea iight!" I rolled my eyes and took my card. I pulled forward to the next window and when I got stopped, all the employees were looking at me crazy, even the white ones.

"Baby, pull over there Ima bring your food to you." An older black woman pointed to the empty parking spot. I looked got a moment, but nodded my head and pulled away to the parking spot.

I turned my car off and waited about five minutes for the woman to come.

"Hi..."She did a soft smile, like she was trying to get her words together.

"Hey...." I took my seat belt off and sat up.

"Look..."She bit her bottom lip. "The woman in the window who took your money, Johnae, she's been with August." She whispered the last part.

"Oh....ohkay." I nodded my head trying to keep my sentence short so my voice wouldn't crack. I felt embarrassed. How could Aug do this to me.

"She's been talking about it. She said he was serious with someone else. I didn't know it was you or even who you were until you came tonight and she saw you on the camera." She pointed to building, and I became aware of all the cameras on the building.

"Thanks. Can I have my food?" I reached for my things.

"Yea, yea my bad..." She handed me my food and drink.

"Ms.Janice why you told her I'm pregnant?" The girl came running outside.

"She-she's pregnant?" I shook my head, hoping to God it wasn't true. Ms.Janice looked at me and nodded her head.

"I wasn't gonna tell you!" She rubbed my arm.

"Nah, fuck this shit." I turned my car off and sped off.

As soon as I got on the interstate I dialed Aug's number.

"Hey baby, I knew you was gon call me." He groaned.

"Nah nigga none of that shit. Meet me at my fucking house in twenty minutes. You got me all the way fucked up."
