Daniels head shot up in surprise because that had been his original plan. Usually people just choose Heaven because it's the place where good people are supposed to go. But I'm not basing my decision on something I know nothing about. I stood up and walked over to Raphael holding out my hand because we got off to a bad start. He looked at my hand for a moment before shaking it. I smiled and then walked over to Daniel doing the same thing even though we had already met. I then noticed his tail moving from side to side slowly behind him. It looked like a lion's tail but longer and it was black instead of golden. I wrapped my hand around his tail softly and his eyes went wide as he froze completely. It felt like a cat's tail too, it was so soft. He seemed to be holding his breath and Raphael laughed. I let go of his tail and he relaxed a little. "Sorry but a demon's tail is like an angels wings, they are extremely sensitive." I walked over to Raphael who was still laughing and not really paying attention. I petted one of his wings and he stopped laughing and gasped like he had never had anyone touch his wings before. He jumped away quickly and I looked at Daniel, "Now it's even." I said with a smile on my face. They both started laughing at my comment. I don't think it's going to be a bad year as long as I have them around. "Alright now that this is all settle." I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. It was already nine o'clock and I had to be to work in an hour. I walked past Raphael to my closet and grabbed a pair of black leggings and my light blue Java Java work shirt. I turned back around to face them only to see the two of them waiting outside my door about to close it. They knew I was about to change so they stepped out. After they closed the door I quickly changed into my work outfit. I opened my door and walked out to the living room to see only Daniel sitting there. "Where's Raphael?" I asked walking into the kitchen and pouring myself a bowl of cereal. He followed "He headed back to Heaven, he said he had some stuff to do but that he would be back later." I nodded as I started eating. We sat in silence as I ate. When I was done I put my bowl in the sink and grabbed my coat and my phone. Daniel looked at me like he wanted to ask me something but he didn't know how to. "Do you want to go to work with me?" I ask grabbing my keys. He seemed a little surprised by the question. "If it won't bother you then sure." He walked out of the kitchen and grabbed the door for me. "Thank you." I smiled at him and walked out to the garage. I got on my bike and heard it roar to life as I turned the key in the ignition. "Nice bike!" he said as he got on behind me slowly. I blushed as I felt him wrap his arms around my waist. I pulled out of the garage then took off down the road trying to ignore my heart pounding in my chest. When we finally pulled into the parking lot of my work we got off and stretched. I turned off my bike before walking into the small coffee shop. I walked behind the counter and Daniel sat down at one of the tables next to the window. "Coffee, cappuccino, or hot chocolate?" I asked him. There was no one else in the shop except for a girl who was working the register and flipping through a magazine. "Coffee with sugar please." He looked out the window as I made his coffee. I brewed up a fresh pot and got him a cup. I took it over to him and smiled, "It's on the house." I walked back behind the counter and not long after, business started picking up. One thirty finally rolled around and I clocked out for lunch. I walked over to Daniel as he was still looking out the window. I walked over to him and he stood up. "Where are we going?" he asked as we walked out of the coffee shop together. I smiled, "Lunch." I walked across the street to a little pizza place that I always went to on my lunch break. I walked over to a table with a box of pizza already on it. "I'm a usual around here." We sat down and I shared the small pizza with him. "Wow this is really good." He said as he took a bite smiling. I smile as we ate. This is really nice. After lunch I headed back to work but Daniel said that he had some errands to run and that he would catch up with me later at my place. Work went by really quickly, by the time I knew it, it was time to go. I got on my bike and drove home. When I opened the door it smelled like an expensive Italian restaurant inside. I walked into the kitchen to see Daniel and Raphael sitting on opposite sides of the table with a bowl of chicken alfredo pasta in the middle of a table set for three. "Wow." I smiled and went to sit down at the table. Raphael stood up and pulled the chair out for me. Once I sat down he pushed the chair in so I was sitting at the table. "Thank you so much you guys." The nodded and Raphael sat back down. We ate and talked about what we had done today. I told Raphael that I was going to have to take him to work with me one of these days and Daniel told him about the pizza place across the street. Raphael's day wasn't really all that exciting, he had to sit in council meetings all day. Apparently he is one of the top soul collectors in Heaven, and the same goes for Daniel in Hell. After dinner they insisted to clean up so I headed to my room and changed into a pair of fuzzy fleece pajama pants that had little red kisses all over them which I got for Christmas last year.
