" It took me a moment to respond as i took in everything that Raphael just told me. When i looked back up at him again i was surprised when he started talking. "Kat, there is so much more to you than any of us know. Your parents knew and they died protecting you for it. You are more special than just a girl who has been chosen a side to protect the balance. Something about your lineage makes you valuable to anyone and everyone who knows." He paused for a moment before placing his hand on my shoulder. "Talk to your grandmother. She will have more answers for you than we will." He looked over at Daniel as he stood up. "Daniel i need your help downstairs." Daniel nodded and slowly let go of my hand before following Raphael out of my room. I sat there for a while not moving, just lost in the silence with my thoughts. After what was probably an hour I picked up the phone and redialed my grandmothers number and listened to it ring before hearing the click of her answering and her saying hello. When i first called her i wasn't ready for what i was about to find out. "You have fallen angel blood in you." Was all my grandmother said when i asked her why i was so special. Although i have heard of fallen angels i really knew nothing about them or what they really were. "Your great grandfather on your fathers side was a fallen  angel. That's why your father worked for the people he did. Your father had fallen angel blood in him and now so do you, but he wanted a better life for you, for you to choose heaven. It would clear their name in heaven and then they hoped they wouldn't have to do the things they did. I can't tell you much more than this because i stayed out of that business. Try asking your friends, they should know more on fallen angels. Heck your angel friend might have even known your great grandfather before he fell." She finally became quiet, waiting for my reaction. "Alright thank you grandma." I said quietly, lost in thought while still trying to process this new information. "You're welcome sweetie. I love you and wish you luck." Luck? Luck for what? "I love you too grandma." I hung up the phone and sat it down on the bed beside me. I wasn't human, at least not fully. I laid down and stared up at the ceiling thinking about everything that has happened to me since i met Daniel and Raphael. I thought about the fact that i was part fallen angel, and why no one had told me all of this until now. I don't know how long i was laying there for but it must have been a while because Daniel walked into my room with a worried expression on his face. "Kate?" I tore my attention away from the plain white ceiling to see his beautiful green eyes looking down at me. "Yeah?" Was all i said back. I felt the bed sink beside me when my eyes wondered from him back up to the ceiling. I felt his warm hand on my shoulder, it felt comforting. I couldn't help what i did next because it felt like something i needed. I shifted on my bed so i was laying across it and placed my head softly in Daniel's lap, my head resting on his leg. I let my eyes flutter closed as he began to run his fingers carefully through my hair, i could feel my body relax. "So what did you find out?" His deep and soothing voice was like a big, comforting blanket wrapping around me. Why did he make me feel this way? "I'm not human." I said softly, my eyes never opening. But i knew he was looking at me confused by the way his hand paused midway through my hair for a moment before continuing. "Then what are you?" He didn't sound mad or worries, just curious. "I'm part fallen angel." Again his hand paused but this time he removed it from my hair. Confused i opened my eyes and met his enchanting green ones. "What?" I asked worried. For a moment he didn't speak but then he started to explain. "No wonder Lucifer and Michael want you so bad. You are neither angel nor demon so you hold no bias but you are also stronger than any human.  You just haven't been awakened yet." So i'm less human than even i thought. I sat there thinking and looking up at Daniel while he looked back down at me. I saw him lean down just an inch before sitting straight up and looking over at the doorway to see Raphael walking in.  "What did we find out?" He sat down ozn the other side of Daniel that i wasn't laying on. Daniel spoke but didn't look down at me which sort of disappointed me. "Kate is part fallen angel." I saw Raphael's eyes go wide as a sort of recognition clicked in his mind. "I knew your last name sounded familiar." Confusion then struck me as to why he might recognize my last name. But then it clicked, fallen angel means that person was once an angel. He must have seen my confusion and my curiosity because he then started to explain the story of my great grandfather and how he fell from heaven.
