An alpha female? Or a Luna?

Chapter 3 ~ council meeting with a surprise

I got home a bit stressed, Bianca can be such a biatch. I stormed into the kitchen to grab a quick snack to see my father sitting on the couch in the living room with a news paper at hand, I decided to sit next to him,"hey dad, why are you not working, you normally always work at this time?" I asked confused.

"Can't I just be with my daughter when she gets home from school, and plus I have to get ready for the meeting, as do you miss. Alpha." He said with a smile.

I smiled back at him, I liked to be appreciated, especially when my father acknowledges it. I got to my room and decided a quick shower was in order.

I turned on the handle and started to wash myself, head to toe, scrub myself clean. Finally after a lot of scrubbing I finally got out of the shower and made my way over to my walk in wardrobe. I scrummaged through my clothing, which was hanging up, word being was, there was now clothing hanging everywhere, shelves, floor, you name it, my walk in wardrobe had it everywhere. However after about an hour of looking I found it, the dress I would wear for tonight, I know you must have thought I was a tom boy but nope that's not me. As men wear tuxedos I as a woman wear a dress, and as I am normally the only female as I am the only female alpha, I tend to be the only one in a dress.

I finally finished getting dressed and walked down stairs where my father was, dressed in his stunning blue tuxedo, I know a lot of blue but you see, ever since I went to my first meeting we decided it would be tradition to wear blue to any fancy greeting. I saw my dad turn around to face me walking down the stairs,"hello dear, don't you look exquisite tonight." I smiled at my fathers compliment.

"You ready to go?" My father asked as I nodded, times like these I turn mute, I tend to steer away from conversations if I can.

It took us a good 2 hours to make it to the council hall, this is where the meetings always takes place, no where else just here, I don't know why, I just find it boring, I must have studied every picture in there at least 100 times.

We entered the huge hall like always through the grand entrance, and made our way to our seats that had our names written on. The organisation of the seating was like a court room, but instead of the one judges chair, there is 10. The ten chairs are always occupied by the elders, these are the leaders of the council which we live by, about over  2000 years ago our packs signed a treaty to join our packs through the council and here we are, still in harmony together.

The meeting had started and I payed attention to the elderly looking people who walked into the hall and stood, it was by law to bow our heads or stand in the presence of the elders, to show our respects. Normally one of the elders wave his hand to inform us to be reseated.

Now seated again, the meeting begun.

After about an hour or so of listening to all the alphas bicker about what to do with rogues my hearing caught up on something, I everted my attention away from the hectic council hall to the voices which seemed to be coming from outside the wall.

"Son, why are you so angry? Please control your anger we are about to face the elders and I for one don't want to be embarrassed, Leo!" The man shouted, it made me jump a bit but I continued to listen.

"Leo,my dear son, please talk to me! Don't walk through that door Leo, is no dear god no, Leo!"

And as soon as he said 'Leo' the door the elders walked through had swung open to reveal a man, who I must admit did seem a bit attractive. No, Kalani head out of the gutter.

He seemed to be searching for something, he seemed really pissed, maybe his father said something. Then all of a sudden, the father I presumed walked in, to my surprise it was alpha Dave, I for one didn't know he had a son, well that was until Bianca said something, but still I thought she was lying.

All of a sudden the 'Leo' guy stopped searching as his eyes landed on me, "MATE!" He shouted out loud as he approached me.

I was confused to say the least, everyone here knew I didn't want a mate, actually the elders were relying on me to not have a mate, and I for one don't intend to. 

He started to run towards my chair as I let out a ferocious growl, one I was proud to have, even though I was a female, I was one of the strongest my father and I have known. Everyone looked at me astonished, I don't think they knew I could growl that loudly but hey, I love to surprise!

'Leo' now stayed still looking at me. I stared at him, eyes narrowed; I am one of the best!? If he is my mate I am sorry, but I won't be his Luna! I growled again at the thought, I hated Luna's they were never an alphas equal.

Leo started to step closer as I stood up. My father didn't know how to react - poor guy - he just held on to my arm trying to calm me down. I could feel my wolf getting riled up, this 'Leo' was a threat, and I didn't like it!

I looked at the elders and they gave me a shake of the head - indicating to not fight him - he was an alpha as well as myself and I wasn't going to loose my temper that quickly. So, I sat back down in my seat. My head was facing straight forward, not making eye contact with anyone. Then to add to it all the 'Leo' guy decided to sit right next to me, he started whispering all kinds of things like how gorgeous I looked and all. I felt disgust to say the least, did this man drink before the meeting because if so that is disrespectful!

I looked over at my dad who sat beside me, I quickly mind linked him,

"Father I don't mean to be rude but can you tell the council I won't disappoint them" I asked through the mind link.

"Of course dear but why do you say that" he said with a bit of concern.

"Because I am going to go home now and get away from this perverted stranger, he's made me and my wolf furious so she needs to let loose, I will see you at home ok?" I questioned.

"Ok sweetie I will tell the council and meet you home"he said now with a smile on his face.

"K bye daddy" I said smiling back at him.

I quickly stood up without another word and bolted for the door, I briefly looked behind me and I saw 'Leo' following behind me! I didn't care about this dress so I just turned into my wolf form as the dress ripped off of me. 'Leo' was right on my tail so I used my hind legs to kick him, which I did successfully and ran as fast as I could back to my packs land. He was not my mate and I was not his mate! He is my fellow alpha and nothing more. I kept saying that in my mind so I didn't have to think about Luna's which make me and my wolf so - so angry. As I proceeded home.

I finally got back home, it took me roughly an hour and a half, quicker than the car but there was no traffic when running so it was much easier.

As I got home I collapsed on the floor, outside my house and one of the maids came zooming out with some clothing. I thanked her with a broad smile and put the clothing on before walking into my house and getting in bed and going to sleep.
