I started to drive over to the warrior pack; well, more like speed!
We made it to the entrance of the woods and I looked over to Zander who held a victorious smile on his face.
"I wouldn't be celebrating too early." I said whilst slightly shaking my head.
"And whys that?" He asked from besides me.
"You'll see." I said.
I drove a while longer and started to see all the homes start to pop up, "god, what's that futile stench?!" I heard Zander complain besides me.
"That, my fellow vampire is the stench of wolves and not just any wolves - werewolves!" I said.
I soon pulled up to a gas station and turned to look at the vampire.
"Told ya I wasn't lying." I said with a smirk.
He turned to look at me with a viscous face placed upon him, "now is not the time to do this mutt!" He said in a low voice.
I let out a huff, "well someone doesn't like being wrong." I said under my breath.
He then somehow glared at me harder then he already was, "actually I am trying to think about how I am going to save my mother from being torn limb from limb?!" He spat.
I just nodded my head and then started to drive off again.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
I kept my eyes glued to the road, "do you vampires have any telepathy thing you can use between each other?" I asked.
He then let out a chuckle, "you mean a phone?" He asked.
My face must have flushed in embarrassment, how could I forget that phones actually exist?
"Whatever, tell your mother to pack all her things. If she starts asking questions tell her the truth, that she's in trouble." I said.
A few seconds later the sound of beeping filled up the tense silence which had filled the car.
I ignored the phone call and just thought.
How did I end up in a situation which involved me HELPING a vampire? Why am I even helping them?
My thoughts quickly subsided when we made it to the little cabin; in all honesty, I have no idea how I even drove here.
I saw Zander leap out of the car and zoom into the house. I then got out at my own pace and made my way up to the house.
I walked into the house and saw a middle aged lady looking frantic in the middle of the living room.
Her eyes grew wide once she saw me, "god I'm sorry, me and my son will leave promptly." She said frantically.
I let out a small chuckle which made the lady stare at me confused, "I'm not apart of this pack, I'm simply here to help you from being slaughtered." I said.
She now let out a chuckle, "dear, werewolves don't help vampires." She said with an amused look.
I just sighed, "it's not like you exactly knew you were living on pack lands, I mean that's the point of this pack; to stay hidden." I explained.
"Anyways, once I found out what your son was I knew there must have been a mistake because no vampire in their right state of mind would EVER come to a school which is a werewolf hot spot." I continued.
"So I asked where he was staying because my school is surrounded by packs and he said that you two were living on the outskirts of a nearby forest, which instantly made me aware that you were on warrior pack soil; the reason I knew is because I am somewhat friends with the future alpha of this pack." I finished.
She let out another light chuckle, "still doesn't explain why you are helping my son and me. "
I let out a sigh, "he told me that something happened in Alaska which made you move here, so in some ways I felt sorry; I mean it's not like you would have known." I said.
The lady let out another chuckle, "well, thank you." She said humbly.
I just nodded my head.
"Sorry to interrupt this beautiful moment but we kinda need to lift and shift." Zander said from behind us.
"Sure, just pile in your most sacred belongings and I will come back for the rest." I said.
I looked over to the lady who had a thankful smile which I replied back to with my own smile.
I helped pile the last few boxes and hopped into the car, as did everyone else.
I then zoomed off; practically begging that no werewolf had found out about them.
"Where are we going?" Zander whined besides me.
I rolled my eyes, "stop whining. We are heading to my pack." I said whilst checking the rear view mirror.
"Is your alpha going to be alright with this?" The middle aged lady quietly said behind me.
I let out a small chuckle, "I'm the future alpha of my pack, trust me when I say that my father won't say no." I said reassuringly.
I heard the lady gasp, "your the future female alpha as well as the moon goddess descendant!" She said shocked.
I let out a chuckle, "yep, I am the most unfortunate person to be the moon goddess descendant but it has its perks." I said.
"What do you mean?" The lady asked.
"Well, knowing I'm the moon goddess descendant gives me the most respectable position as well as somewhat the most power. I mean I'm practically a god now that I've been declared the moon goddess descendant." I explained.
I heard the lady say a small 'oh' before the car was again enraptured in silence.
"My name is Caterina but my friends call me cat." The lady in the back seat said.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Caterina, my name is Kalani." I said.
Caterina let out a chuckle, "dear, I already know what your name is as soon as you told me your title." She said.
There was a small ounce of silence before I realised something, "shoot!" I said out loud.
"What?" Caterina asked behind me.
"I left my car at school." I said.
"Then why did you ask if I had a car?" Zander joined in.
"I don't know, i guess I was just caught up in the moment." I said.
I then let out a sigh, "I'll get my baby back later on." I said under my breath, trying to convince myself that my baby will be alright.
The car then went back to being silent as we drove down the highway.
