"Did you hear about phoebe?" Lily asked as we sat at our usual lunch table.
"Girrrl, what?" Our friend Melissa said.
"I heard she slept with Jake, at his party yesterday." Lily said in a whispered like tone.
"And am I ament to be surprised." She said whilst laughing.
"Hey k, you hearing this?" Melissa asked me but I was so zoned out I didn't even realise.
"K? Lily can she hear me?" Melissa asked.
"I don't know, shake her?"
All of a sudden the world around me started to shake.
"Hey k, welcome back to reality!" Melissa said with an eye roll.
"Yeah, well I don't feel like being in reality right now Mel!" I said in a snarky tone.
"Wow! Okay I see how it is!" Melissa then walked off.
Then just to tip off my already awful day, Allan's friends decided to show up.
"Hey Kalani, could we urrm, talk to you?" Allan's friend bobby said.
"Sure," I looked at lily, "hey lily, I am going to go quickly, I will be right back."
"Okay." Lily said.
Bobby and his friends directed me outside.
"Are you alright?" Bobby asked.
"Alright!?-"I let out a pathetic laugh, "well what do you think? I saw my best friend, who was soon to be my boyfriend die right in front of my eyes! I see his sister smiling, not because he's dead but because she doesn't know he is dead! His own sister doesn't know but apparently the whole frickin world knows! And I of all people wake up everyday having to live days on end, thinking off that all too well know face of a guy who had his whole future figured out! And I of all people took that away from the dude, because I liked him, and I wanted him to be happy! I wanted US to be happy, but no! The moon goddess curses us and hates me! I am loosing faith in this so called moon goddess, faith that she even did exist because her story sounds like a load of rubbish!? because guess what life isn't that nice to people! You hear that moon goddess, kill me now and get over with it, I disrespected you, and what are you going to do - nothing because guess what, you are NOT real!!!" I shouted.
"Woah, Kalani calm down!" Bobby tried to reassure me.
