Waking up to a new morning, the coffee aroma wasn't wafting around the entire apartment as usual.
Dazai Osumu has a sister name F/N L/N who went to the same high school as Tanizaki's sister, Tanizaki Naomi. Both of them were inseparable friends, and the two men were happy that they can get along with each other.
Lying on the bed for a few more minutes, he then stood up and went to her room. She wasn't in there, and thus he went to the kitchen. Breakfast was prepared and spread over the counter top, but she wasn't there as well. Glancing around the house, he then realised that the bathroom was occupied.
"F/N, you're inside?" He asked while knocking the door.
Silence filled the air.
"F/N, are you alright? Answer me." He got a bit worried at the lack of her response, and started knocking the door a few more times.
Thinking of the worst possible situation, he then slammed himself towards the door a few times to get in, only to see her sprawled on the floor in her nightdress. Careful not to move her in case she injured her neck or her back while she collapsed, he then quickly checked for her pulse and breathing before running out and calling Yosano Akiko for help.
"Yosano! I need your help! My sister is unconscious, and she is panting heavily!"
"I'll get to your place in five minutes time. Don't move her, and monitor her breathing and pulse."
Ending the call, he then frantically waited for her arrival. Fortunately, his house was quite near to the Agency, and the doctor arrived in less than five minutes. Doing a quick check, she then carried her up and went to her room. "Don't come in unless I tell you to do so." With that, the room door was closed, and all Dazai could do was to wait for the doctor's verdict.

After a few moments, Yosano then left her room to inform Dazai about her condition.
"She's got a high fever. It'll be gone after a few days of rest with medication. Don't worry, Dazai. Call me if anything happens. Ah, I'll help you request for a three-day break to the President."
"Thanks, Yosano. I'll see you soon." Sending her off, he then entered her room. She was awake by then.
"Sorry..." She mumbled as she looked at him with an apologetic face. Giving her a gentle smile, he then ruffled her head.
"Don't make me worry so much from now... I can't take it." He said in a joking tone before helping her sit up to take her medication.
Taking a few days off from work did make him and her sister even more closer than before.
