"Plan on telling me what that was all about?" Jess asked after my roller coaster of emotions had subsided.
I told him everything from the conversation that Honor and I had just had.
"Wow, that's - bleak. So what now? What's the plan?" he asked.
I shook my head and shrugged. "I have no idea! I guess I won't find out until I get there" I said.
"Are you sure you're up for this? You're stressed to the max already, you've been through a lot. I just don't want to see anything - you know - bad happen" he said, nodding towards my stomach.
I smiled at him. "My goodness, does this mean that Ebonezer Scrooge actually DOES have a heart!?" I teased him.
"Yeah yeah, don't get used to it" he teased back. "So, I guess I should be driving you on to Hartford, huh? I'm sure Finn's plane will be at the airport waiting for you any time now" he said.
I nodded, and grabbed the bag I'd packed quickly. The current plan was to head out to Honor and Josh's house, and staying for a day or so. The major plan was still yet to be determined.

At the airport, Jess walked me inside, as far as they'd allow him to go.
"You call me if you need me. For ANYTHING. I don't care what time it is, I'll be there" he promised.
I smiled and gave him a big bear hug. "Thank you so much for understanding, Jess. I couldn't have made it through any of this without you. I'll be back in a day or so. I'll call you when I know what time to have you pick me back up, okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll be here. And good luck, Rory. I hope your plan works, whatever that is" he said.
I smiled and pulled away from him.
"Bye" I said, waving to him, as I turned and walked away.
********
When I stepped onto the plane, the guys surprised me.
"Oh my gosh!" I cried, dropping my bag at my feet and running over, jumping into their arms in a big, group bear hug.
"I can't believe you guys are really here!! I never thought I'd see you again! You have no idea how much I've missed you all!" I exclaimed.
"We've missed you too, Rory" Colin said.
"Yeah, its been dark around here without you to brighten us up these days" Robert said.
I looked at him sadly, tears coming to my eyes, reliving the pain of that day.
"You broke all of our hearts that day, Love. None of us has been the same since" Finn admitted.
I put my hand to his cheek. "Me either, Finn. The day I said goodbye to you guys - all four of you - was by far the hardest day of my life. It crushed every single piece of me" I whispered, looking deep into his eyes, with tears escaping from mine.
I actually watched tears start to well up in his eyes, too.
"Yeah, well, we're just happy to have you back, Love. It's been a nightmare without you. We need to knock that French bitch off her big ego and get you back with our guy" Finn said, changing the subject before he started to really show his emotions.
"So she's really that bad? Honor wasn't exaggerating?" I asked.
"Let's put it this way. Honor is still family, so whatever has happened in her experience with Odette is just child's play compared to how she's treated us. We've got some awful stories we could go on for days cluing you in about Miss Odette's TRUE personality" Robert promised.
"And what if our plan doesn't work? What if he still doesn't decide to leave her?" I asked, trying to prepare myself for the worst.
"Then you could always go home with one of us as a consolation prize" Colin teased.
I laughed a little until Robert handed me a drink. "Oh, I can't. I quit. I haven't had a drink since - well - since I last saw you" I said.
"How does one simply quit drinking? And what is the point? I mean, alcohol is by far the most useful invention " Finn said with a laugh.
"Aye, yes," I started.
Finn raised an eyebrow at my Australian accent.
"But how does one know if it is truly the alcohol that is great, or rather if it's simply the act of drinking with great company?" I dodged.
"Wow. You are a catch, Rory Gilmore" Colin said.
"My mind is blown" Robert said, throwing his hands up.
"What the bloody hell was that? No, no, no you drink up! Cheers!" Finn said, clinking his glass to mine.
Maybe if I just pretend to sip it they won't notice that I'm not actually drinking it... I can't tell them the truth, they'll tell Logan for sure!
