"Hey, kiddo!  You about ready to hit the road?" Lorelai asked bouncily, sitting down on my bed with a mug of hot coffee steaming from her hands.

I groaned at my mother's cheerful awakeness.  Even if I did turn in early last night, I was just still so exhausted.

"Bah humbug" I muttered.

"Hey now, you'd better be nice to me, or I won't tell you that I brought this coffee for you!" She taunted.

I groaned and sat up against the headboard and readily took the coffee.  I took a deep breath, filling the amazing smell into my nose before I tasted its powerful burst of greatness.  I honestly feel like I'm going through withdrawals with everyone monitoring my intake of deliciously necessary caffeine!  Especially since I'm having such a hard time staying awake and having any energy as it is!  Pregnancy is such a mean thing!

"Okay, so, I just talked to Lane and Paris, and they are both FINALLY on their way, which means we've just got to get you up and showered, and then we can go ahead and get on the road.

I groaned again.  "Mom, I'm not even sure I even really want to go" I pouted.

"Haha you're funny.  If I am going, and Lane is going, and Paris is going, and Honor is going, then so are you" mom said.

"No, I mean it.  I'm just so exhausted, I've got the most horrendous heartburn, I've got to pee all the time which means we'll need to stop every fifteen minutes on our way to New York, and my nausea - is - oh no!" I cried and then I bolted for the door.

"Has turned into full blown morning sickness" she finished for me, knowingly.   She walked out of my room and grabbed herself another mug of coffee.

"She okay?  I've never seen her run so fast" Luke said from the stove.

She crossed over the room and stood beside him with her arm around his waist.  "Yeah, she's been pretty lucky getting by without it, but morning sickness has found her and it's come back with a vengeance this morning" she said.

Luke made a face.  "Poor thing.  Is she going to make it?  Traveling, I mean?" he asked.

Mom shrugged.  "I know the plan, and she doesn't.  She may think she wants to stay home, but in reality she HAS to go to Vegas this weekend.  Her and jelly bean's whole futures depend on it" she said ominously.

Luke nodded.  "So am I ever going to be allowed to find out about this plan?" he asked.

"Nope" she said, stealing a piece of bacon with a smile and a wink.  "At least not yet, anyway"

There was a knock on the door and it opened.  Lane was greeted at the door by Paul Anka, who attacked her with kisses.

"We're in the kitchen!" Lorelai called out to her, and she made her way in.  "You want some coffee while we wait for our waiter to bring our breakfast?"

"Oh my god, yes please!" Lane said.

"Wow, rough morning?" Lorelai asked.

Lane groaned.  "Don't get me started..." she said, taking a sip of the coffee that Lorelai had put in front of her.

"Well, is it anything serious?  Like, emergency type stuff?  Or is it ignorable for the weekend?" Lorelai asked.

"No, it's just home stuff that frustrates me sometimes.  I'm okay though" Lane said.

"Okay, good.  I mean, I totally would've tried to talk you through it, I just don't want anything to bring our girl down right now" Lorelai said.

Lane nodded understandably, but completely consumed in drinking her coffee.

After I'd finished getting sick, I took a shower while I was in the bathroom.  When I was finished, I walked into the kitchen and plopped down onto a chair.

"Are you hungry, kiddo?" Luke asked unsurely.

"I'm so sorry Luke, I know how much trouble you went to making this breakfast for us, but there's no way I could possibly eat anything right now.  Maybe just an apple or something" I murmured.

"Uh oh, you don't look so good.  Are you okay?" Lane asked.

"This baby is determined to make me sicker than I've ever been before this weekend.  No fair, it's like I have to miss out on all the drinking & fun that you guys will be having, but I'm still stuck with the hangover!  So not cool" I muttered.

"Paybacks sure are a bitch, huh?" mom teased.

"Not funny.  I've barely been sick at all, just nauseous every so often, but this is way worse" I whispered.

Lane looked at my mom as if to ask if she thought I was going to be up to this, and my mom gave her a nod.  At this point, it didn't matter.  She was just determined that one way or another, she was getting me to Logan.

Mom and Lane went ahead and ate their breakfasts while I went to my room to get away from the pungent smells of bacon, and eggs, and pancakes.  I really did feel awful that he went through all of that trouble and I couldn't even bring myself to try a single bite.  I know he understands, or at least I'm assuming he does, but that doesn't make me feel any less bad about it.

"Are you ready to go?" Mom asked, peeking in my room.  I had fallen back to sleep in my bath robe, nowhere near ready to go.  "Rory!" She said loudly.

I jolted awake and looked around, confused why I was still in my robe.  "Paris is here.  Hurry up and get ready so we can go.  You can sleep in the car" she promised.  I nodded and begrudgingly got myself up off of my bed and into some clothes.

"She really worrying me, are you sure she's okay?" Luke asked my mom.

She kissed him and smiled.  "You're so sweet worrying about her so much.  She'll be uncomfortable, but she's going to be just fine" she said.

I walked out of my room with my rolling luggage bag and Luke took it from me, and carried it out to the car for me.  We were taking Paris' car since she's the only one who had an SUV that wasn't going to die on us the moment we crossed the Stars Hollow city limits.

Luke loaded all of our luggage into the hatch back of the SUV and closed the door.

"Goodbye, Luke.  Thanks for everything" I whispered, giving him a hug.

"Anytime, sweetheart.  I hope you feel better really soon" he said.

"Me too" I muttered.

Luke hugged and kissed my mom goodbye, and we all got into the car, and drove off down the road.
