Ch.5 New home... For Now

Waking up to a peaceful morning still with the taste of tender deer in my mouth,I wander over to the fresh water lake and lap up water
"Morning Raven" Kindly whispered Spot
Everyone else was asleep.
"Hey..." I whispered back
I lap up another mouthful of cool water.
"Want to...be my..go hunting with me?" He whispered
"Ild love to but I can't, were leaving any second now. And if we were go hunting we would have to ask Breeze,Beta or Alpha."I confirmed
Just then Alpha joked
"We're leaving!, get up now or be left behind!"
A few pack mates though he was serious and swiftly got up while my group of friends giggled and tagged along at the back. Most of the way Spot stuck close to me, Either he really likes me or is a stalker. Either way I had to put up with it. When we left the sun had only just risen, but by the time Alpha decided to rest the dogs outside our little group had been tired out. I think Spot was too but he didn't want to show it. I sleepy by myself curled in a ball under a birch tree. Before the sun had risen I woke up. Soaked. It had been raining yet I didn't wake up all of us were so tired last night we didn't hunt. So I crept over to Alpha
"Alpha, Please wake up I need to ask you something" I whispered
"Yes Raven?" He asked mid way though a yawn.
"May I go hunting by myself to catch a snack for the pack?" I questioned
"Sure" He answered as he lay back down to sleep.
I crept into the forest and immediately scented prey three no wait four rabbits,Out of there burrow. Slowly I stalked the rabbit creeping forward not letting anything destroy my chance of catching a rabbit or two. I threw my slim body forward on top of two rabbits I pinned one down as I killed another then put the second one to sleep that it would never wake up from. After I proudly wandered back into camp with two plump rabbits I tore the rabbit into pieces with my sharp teeth and gave everyone a morsel two for Beta and Alpha. Everyone woke up hungry to find a snack sitting beside them.

We were off, again... Heading east still heading to the hills Alpha had a place in mind that had a real cave to store food and keep warm in the winter just to wander of again when new leaf comes.
The sun was in the middle of the sky as we set paw onto the foot of the mountain. One paw I front of the other I walk up the path gently nudging Breeze and her unborn pups. Unwarily I place my paw on lose rock nearly falling a small 3 metres I'm pushed back by Breeze the dog I was supposed to help.
"Thanks" I whisper in slight embarrassment
We all scaled the mountain and no dog fell or got harmed like I nearly did.
There was a small gathering of water deeper than a regular puddle
"Here we are no one is to get the water dirty, understood?" He ordered
"Yes Alpha" we all reply at the same time.
"And everyone is aloud inside the den just not at the far back were the going to be stored prey is" he added
I responded with a sharp nod and took a couple of laps of water like everyone else.
"Alright hunters!, I will give you a bit to cool down then we are going to bring as much prey as we can home were, splitting up!" Barked Breeze " I and Flick will go South. Raven and Spot you go east East." I gave her a annoyed glance "And Buzz and... Well buzz you can come along with us" she added
"Looks like we're partners!" Spot happily barked as he wag his tail
"Cool.." I answer as I start heading East
He told me about the adventure of his life as we trotted down hill until I smelt prey.
"Shh!" I loudly whispered
Raising my head I sniffed the night air, Moles many, many moles
"Woah.."he whispered
"Woah" I repeat
Suddenly he barges forward going on a rampage of killing moles. I copy his actions we got seven moles all large before they hurried down there holes. It took us just before the sun rose to get all seven moles up by then we layer down on top of the cave. Together.
"Never scene so many" I bark
"Same.." He agreed
He laid down beside me. I laid down beside him and fell asleep.

I woke up starving, I mustn't have noticed my hunger last night I was side tracked by him..
"Ugh.." I said as my stomach rumbled
"Morning Raven, everything ok?" He questioned
" I'm starving Spot would you mind asking Alpha for some food for me I missed the prey circle..." I admit
He trotted of but I could see he was quickening pastes when he thought he was out of view. He returned with a mole that we caught last night. I quickly nibbled it until it was gone only then did I say.
"Thank you Spot"
"No problem" he answered
I laid beside him for awhile before I walked of. I lapped up many mouth full of cold fresh water.
"Hey bestie!" Breeze barks as I turn around to see her stomach a bit swollen with her unborn pups.
"Woah, boy have you grown!" I explain
"Yeah I get that a lot now" she admits
"Girls grab a partner and go get prey" he barked without a please
"Sure" we respond,
Before I could ask Breeze Spot sprints up to me like he herd the entire conversation and Flick strolls up to Breeze.
"Want to be come hunting with me?" I ask
He gives me a nod. Heading into the forest we go to the same place we gather the moles. There were three moles left, Spot picked of one of them. Then we headed deeper into the forest, a fresh scent of deer lingered around the trees and scratch marks were on the trees
"Deer" we both mumble
It's in my sight a regular sized female deer. We creep up towards it I spring towards it but I'm cut off. Spot lands on top of me the vibrant colours of the sunset were fading.
"Oh Raven if I don't say it now I'll never say it," he whines "I love you, Will you be my mate?" He said as he gazed into my eyes.
