Strange Little Things

I can't even describe the horror that's going through my body right now. It is huge and black. I want to run away but my body is frozen in fear. Chloe slowly step backwards Ryan whispers. Luckily the thing wasn't turned around because I probably would be passed out by now. I slowly move one of my feet backwards. And then I step backwards more until a stick broke under my foot. The thing turns around revealing its ugly and terrifying face. It has at least six eyes and other features I didn't care to look at. Ryan I scream running towards him, he picked me up and put me on his back. The hideous creature began stomping towards us. I grip onto Ryan as hard as I can. I feel him slowly begin walking backwards. The creature stomped faster but Ryan stopped moving . Ryan I ask in fear and he looks at me and then back at the creature. It was now right in front of us and I put my head down on Ryan's shoudler. It's face scared me so much, all them eyes, huge sharp teeth. And two large holes for a nose. You scared her dad I hear Ryan say. That's his dad I ask myself, but how is that possible. I was trying to thank her for saving you he says in voice that made me cringe. It sounded like he was throwing up as he spoke. Thank you young girl he, well actually it said to me. I dont speak to him I keep my head hidden in Ryan's back. Ryan let go of my legs but I still hold a death grip on him. I am still angry about my arms but I don't want to be near his "dad". Im still hanging there on and holding on to him almost ready to let go. I am about to let go when Ryan sighs and grabs my legs again. I relaxed my arms but didn't let go. I know his tricks, he would've let me down if I would've let go. He then pulls me around to the front of him. Chloe, its alright you don't have to be scared he whispers. Just talk to him he also whispers and then out of surprise stood me on the ground. I went to jump back on him but once I blinked he was gone. I look back at his dad. All of his eyes were staring at me which made me uncomfortable. Thanks for saving my son he says to me. Your welcome I spoke softly, I've never been so scared in my life. So you're Ryan's dad I ask him. Yup he says, he then showes all of his pointy teeth making me back up. Then I realize, this was his way of smiling. What's your name he asks me. I don't feel like talking anymore. I cant stand looking at him or hearing his voice anymore. I go to turn and run back to the house. But when I turn around I run right into Ryan. You can't be doing that Chlo he says holding me to face his dad. What's your name his dad asks me again. Chloe I respond. What a lovely name he says to me. Thank you I say hoping this conversation would end soon. You got a good one Ryan, let's hope she doesn't try anything stupid his dad says confusing me. No, she's smart, you don't gotta worry about her Ryan tells him. But she did run from you, she's gotta be punished. Just so she'll learn, or you know what will happen his dad says. I think she's already hurt from before Ryan said showing him my bruised arms. Yeah but that wasn't you he said to Ryan. What does he mean that wasn't Ryan. Is that why his eyes were black I ask myself. But I don't wanna hurt her anymore Ryan pleads to his dad. Fine but if she does one more thing like that, I'll punish her myself Ryan's dad said. Well I love you dad, see you later Ryan says and began walking with me in front of him. We finally reach his house and go inside. Honestly I'm still in shock from what had just happened. What would his dad do to me if I tried to run again. And why is he a monster but Ryan is a human. I was deep into my thoughts and I didn't realize Ryan was trying to talk to me. Chloe he asks and I shake my head and look at him. Huh I ask, are you alright Ryan asked me. Hmmmm am I alright, well I literally just almost had a heart attack from your dad. I couldn't run, I was forced to talk to him. And now I'm afraid that I might die if I do anything wrong, how do you think I am. But I just realized I only said that in my head. Im fine I lie hoping he would buy it. He did, at least it seemed he did. I walk over to the couch and sit down. He sat down and put his arm around me. You gotta be good for me, if you wanna be safe he says looking at me. I'm not safe I ask him, you are as long as you are good he tells me. I'm still confused I complain. Believe me you would probaly rather stay clueless he said. No actually that's the number one thing I hate in life. You and you're dad are tied in for second I say dead serious. He must've thought I was trying to tell a joke but I wasn't. See this is what I'm talking about, you need to learn respect he said making me angry. I need to learn respect?! No you need to control your temper, I'm not the one who kidnapped a human. And tried to kill one I yell standing up. Chloe let me tell you a story he says pulling me back down onto the couch.
