I know that they eventually have to get to Berk,  but then I'm going to have to deal with figuring out how to keep the viking villagers quiet until Hiccup is cured, so while I'm figuring that out, I thought I'd bring you this lovely stall chapter that's just a little character development as well as Hiccstrid so that I can buy myself more time. (I apologize for the minor [and by the I mean major] shipping of Tuffnut x Heather.)

Enjoy!!!!!!

HICCUP'S POV

I'm sure that the remainder of the flight to Berk took even longer than the first part. After resting I'm able to get back up in the air and continue on to Berk, though every one else seems to deny the fact that I'm okay.

As it turns out, Heather was underrating the weather when she had come back from scouting, as it was not getting "worse" but getting to detrimental stages. Golf-ball-sized hailed beat down on us and the dragons, making it nearly impossible for them to fly through. I could look ahead and see endless amounts of ice chunks hurling through the sky at speeds I wished weren't possible. As we continued to fly, the dragons slowly lost speed and altitude until it was quite noticeable that they couldn't continue move forward anymore. I glanced at Astrid, and she seemed to notice, too.

"Hiccup, I think we need to find cover. I don't think the dragons will be able to make it to Berk in this weather. We should wait till this storm passes and then get to Berk." She says, looking around for somewhere to hide out.

"I agree, Astrid, but we need to find somewhere soon, and I don't see any sort of shelter out here."

"Maybe we should split up, cover more ground? Then we can come back here and tell what we've found." Snotlout suggested, looking pretty proud of himself. "And for coming up with the idea, I'll go with Heather."

"I think I'll go with the twins." Heather said, rolling her eyes and flying off with Ruff and Tuff.

"Alright, Snotlout, you go with Fishlegs, and Astrid and I will head out in a different direction." I told him, as he grumbled something inaudible before flying off with Fishlegs.

I looked at Astrid to find her already watching me, staring worriedly as in her eyes my health seemed to deteriorate. I gave her a smile before we flew off, searching for any place that we might be able to touch down.

SNOTLOUT'S POV

This was a stupid, stupid, stupid plan.

"We're never going to find anything out here. We're going to wear out our dragons and then not be able to get to Berk anyway. We're gonna get pummeled to death by the ice falling from the sky." I said, totally convincing Fishlegs to ditch the rest of them and double-time it to Berk.

Or not.

"Snotlout, we have to find somewhere to land. The dragons will never be able to take us all the way to berk in this weather, plus Hiccup--"

"Yeah, yeah whatever. If we can't ditch them, then we might as well  hurry up and find somewhere we can stay."

I should have been able to go with Heather. But no, she chose the Twins over me. THE TWINS, of all people.

"Snotlout, pay attention! We need to find somewhere to rest!" Fishlegs exclaimed, starting to get frustrated with me. I don't know WHY he was getting frustrated. I was the one stuck out here with gronckle-geek on a mission that was totally pointless.

"There's nothing out here but water. This weather just keeps getting worse." I reasoned.

"Snotlout, quit complaining. Your not the only one who is stuck out here, so just be quiet and LOOK, okay?" Fishlegs snapped as if he were talking to a terrible terror.
