Chapter 3: Reunion part 1

When we arrived to the hotel, Nathan and Rachel had helped us bring our stuff in the room.

The hotel we were at had two rooms and an area that looked like a living room.

While I was unpacking, Rachel had came over to me "So how's everything been, you know since all that stuff that happened?"

"I mean, we've been hanging in there you know, I just try my best to not think about it anymore"

"Yeah, i completely understand. At least its over and you dont have to worry about it" she said.

"Wish I could feel that way"

"What do you mean?" she asked.

I stopped unpacking and sat on the bed.

"I just...between me and you...I just feel as though something is coming, like something is about to happen"

"Why would you think that?" she asked.

"...The day after I got out of the hospital, Grant had found out that one person wasnt found out of the others that were found in Shauns files. I just feel as though you know, what if they try to get revenge for the death of Shaun..." I put my hands on my head.

I dont want to think that but I've been thinking that ever since that day.

"I dont know, maybe im thinking to much into it"

"Maybe. dont worry, me and Nathan are here if you ever need anything" she said.

I smiled and we gave eachother a hug.

Before, I really wasn't feeling the whole Rachel and Nathan thing, but she's alright.

When I was done, I went to the balcony where Austin was.

"Why so distant?"

"Im not distant. I was just getting some fresh air" he replied.

"Are you still upset about the whole situation?"

"Whats the point in me still being upset. Theres nothing I can do so its over with" he said.

"I know but...I just don't want you to feel like I did this on purpose or anything"

He didn't say anything, instead he started walking inside.

"Why are you walking away?"

"...Right now, the only thing thats important to me is making sure Aaliyah has a great birthday" and with that he went inside.

I still sat there somewhat mad but also irritated about the whole situation.

I mean why get mad. 

He knows that Grant is just a friend. so why get mad and take the anger out on me?

I couldn't really find a legit answer myself...

"Hey, what you doing out here by yourself?" Nathan had came out.

"Just relaxing"

"Why you look like that?" he asked.

"Just some little problems with Austin, nothing major"

"You sure? Cause you know I can have a little talk with him and fix him up a bit" He started pretending he was fighting.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"No Nathan its fine, I can handle it"

"mmmm, well okay, but you know I can though" He said showing me his muscles.

"Ha-ha, yeah I bet"

"But anyway, I was thinking we should go..." he started to hesitate.

"Go where?"
