1. Accent
Nigerians are proud of their language and accent and it doesn't matter their status in life or how far they've travelled, they'll always have an accent tugged somewhere. We can speak impeccable English but when we get close to each other, we can't hide their accent anymore.
2. Pidgin
We managed to make our English pidgin an international language and that's because we are proud of it. You can hear it in our music, movies and daily activities no matter where you find us around the world.
3. Style Of Dressing
Us Nigerians will never substitute our traditional style of dressing for anything (we dey craze) and we've been doing this for ages, watch our parliament and enter our parties and compare it to Ghana's.
4. Identity
No matter where you find a Nigerian around the world, even if they were born abroad, they will still have a name like, "Kosiso Chukwuma Kaosiweme" neatly tugged somewhere. Ghanaians travel around the world for just weeks and their names change completely from Kuntu to Blankson. Na wa o, I'm so proud to tell people I'm Nigerian no matter what they think.
5. Food
No matter where we find ourselves, we'll still make sure that we eat our food. We don't mind preparing it ourselves if we can't get it to buy. For us, making eba is not hard, there's no substitute for Nigerian food.
6. Marketing Skills
We are brave, confident and make very good salesmen. Give us anything and we'll sell for you. Our convincing and persuasive spirit is extremely high, and don't try to do 'wayo' for us because we know how to bargain shamelessly.
7. Love For Country
No matter how hard the country is, you dare not speak ill of it, you will be crucified (I know where you live). We'll never hide from anyone about who we are, we'll make you aware we are coming from Nigeria (we don land o). Our patriotism runs right out of the roof.
8. Music
Nigerians will not switch their music for anything. We love all our artistes no matter how well of they are. America has Justin Bieber, we have Wizkid. For Beyonce we have Tiwa Savage, for Adele Omawunmi still exists here, for Avicii we have D'Banj. And we love them to bits and pieces.
