Chapter 17: prom night

Few weeks past as we prepared for prom. Caleb asked the girl he likes and she accepted in so happy for them. I guess him and her are a thing now. Her name is Lauren. She is really pretty. She has long black and blue hair with blue eyes and some cute freckles on her cheeks. She also has these cute dimples when she smiles. She's really nice and I love them together.

Sam helped me with my dress, hair, make up and everything that you need to do before a big party.

My hair was up in a high ponytail. It was straightened. My make up was really simple. Just some mascara, eyeliner and a light matte lipstick that I loved. I put on my heels and picked my phone. Grayson ..didn't remember. He didn't call or anything. I felt really sad thinking about it. But I didn't let it bring me down. Caleb called me to come out. Him and Lauren were going to take me with them.

I got into the car and then saw Lauren. She was wearing a black long chiffon dress and her blue hair was beautifully curled and let down. Caleb was also looking good with his black suit and black tie to match Lauren's dress. The music in the car turned up and we all started to sing along to the songs and dance to the rhythm. Everything was going well. We finally reached the stop to be greeted with loud music and lights of all colour balloons everywhere. And signs that say "prom night". We entered the party that was filled with teenagers who were jumping, dancing and eating. Everyone seemed to have fun. Caleb and Loren went straight to the dance flour while I went to get myself something to drink. It felt boring without Grayson around. I wish he was here. I thought as I drank my drink. Everyone was having the time of their lives.

"May I have this dance?" I heard someone say from behind me. I turned around to face the one and only ..Grayson.

I nodded and he walked me to the dance flour. He held my hand as a slow song was on. I placed my free hand on his shoulder as he placed his on my back. We danced as he kept talking to me.

"You look beautiful." He said spinning me around.

"Not bad yourself." I said coming to a stop from the twirl.

"I know I look good Charlie." He said pulling me closer as he continued talking. "But not as good as the prettiest girl in this room." He said as we danced. My blue dress flew from the back slightly as we danced.

"I love you." I said as I placed my head on his chest.

"I love you too." He said.

"Are you sure?" I teased.

"If I didn't love you I wouldn't be here now. I would be at a football game." He said smirking.

"Good point." I said as the song came to an end.

"Want something to drink." He asked.

"Yeah thanks" I said.

"I'll be right back" he said as I nodded.
I saw him suddenly go to the DJ and whisper something in his ear. The DJ smirked and nodded. He then went somewhere else as the DJ whispered something into everyone's ears as people kept nodding and passing it on. I didn't really pay attention I was just waiting for my drink that never came. Suddenly someone pulled me to the centre on the dance flour as everyone watched. I stood there confused of what's happening. Suddenly a girl wearing a white dress and a guy wearing a white suit came in with a sign. Those two were no one else but Josh and Jenna. They each held a sign that had the words ~follow me!~ on it. I followed them as they walked. Everyone at the party followed. We started walking  a car . They both opened the door to the backseat of the car leading me to it. All the people went back to the party after as Josh went into the driver seat and Jenna went into the passenger seat.

"Guys what's going on?" I asked confused. None of them talked they just sat in silence driving. We reached a stop after a few minutes to a place that I've already been to before. It's that secret beach. Jenna came out as I came out of the car. The only words she said was follow the path with candles.
I did as told and followed the candles as they led to the beach. Even though it was dark I was able to see the rose petals on the wet sand I followed them to be met with Grayson. I walked towards him as he came down on one knee and said four words I never thought I would hear.

"Will you marry me?" He said opening a box that revealed a diamond ring. I stood in shock as I heard his words. They rung to my ears like a bell.

I place a hand over my mouth as tears of joy strolled down my face. I nodded a yes as he smiled widely. He got up and placed the ring in my hand making it glow. He then picked me up as we kissed. He picked me up bridal style and walked down the wet sand. He then put me on what seemed to be a towel so my dress wouldn't get dirty. He sat beside me as he looked into my eyes.

"You're everything I ever wanted." He said putting his hand on my cheek. We say their staring at each other and laughing to our childish story's.

He then got up and picked me up again bridal style as he walked back to wear he had left his car.

"Are you tired" he said as I placed my head on his shoulder.

" a little." I said.

"Don't be there are still some surprises." He said as I smiled and giggled.

He put me in the passenger seat as he got to the drivers seat. He started driving on the high way real fast as I laughed at his jokes.

"Grayson you should slow down." I said when I realized at what speed we are driving.

"Chill we're just having fun racing random people."

"Grayson slow Down!" I said but he drove even faster. I started to panic.

"Hey chill don't be so scared you're with me everything will be fine."

"Grayson please slow down! You're going too fast!" I said holding the door in fear.

Right when I said that a I heard a car hunk. The car lights shined in my eyes as I yelled. "GRAYSON!"
