Chapter 6: feelings keep growing

"Hey" he said walking down the school hallway. "Hi" I turned around facing ..him. The one and only Blake.
"Everything okay?" I asked. He looked uncomfortable or angry or .. I couldn't really put my finger on it but something was wrong. "I'm dropping out of school." He said as my eyes widened. "W-why" I said confused. "Long story I just came to say goodbye." He said through clenched teeth as it was difficult for him to spit the words out. "Why are you saying it like I'm never going to see you again." I said feared that what I'm thinking is true. "It's because you won't see me ever again." He said and walked away leaving me at my feet shocked. That day I acted like I was sick and left school and ran to the forest next to my place in hope of meeting him there.
I ran as fast as I can yelling his name hoping he'll respond. My heart bested faster every step. I suddenly stopped at the rock that I slept on that other day. "BLAKE PLEASE IF YOU'RE HERE ANSWER ME!" I yelled.

"what do you want." I heard his voice from the back. I turned around and he was there. Hands crossed under his chest as he leaned on the old tree.

"You're here" I said running to him.
"Yeah and you're here too" he said.
"What's going on"
"I'm leaving town"
"What!... B-but why what happened?"
"Not everything happens the way that we want. Forget me. And move on. Don't even think about me anymore."
"I can't process this."
"Just do it! It'll be easier for you and me."
"Blake I thought everything was going well between us. I mean that kiss didn't it mean anything?" Tears started to stroll down my cheeks.
"No. It didn't mean anything. Not to me. You're just like those other girls. I don't like you." He said. That moment, it made me feel like my heart got shattered into a million pieces. I felt anger and sadness all at ones.
"This was all a joke to you." I said as I kept crying.
He walked away step by step.
"I know everything you said is not true." He stopped as I kept convincing my self that I was wrong. "ITS NOT TRUE IS IT!" I yelled I saw his hands turning into fists. He then suddenly turned towards me and pinned me on the rock.

"It wasn't okay" he said anger filling him.
"Then why did you say it. Were you convincing me or yourself." I said madness filling me.
"Both of us" he yelled.
"why?"
"Because they'll hurt you if I don't do it why don't you understand and for once stop being so stubborn and listen! I told you to stay away from me the first day and you kept getting closer everyday. Suddenly you meet up with my dad in the forest while we're training and then get him suspicious. After that you meet me at that gym and you played with my head, making me kiss you and now this! Why don't you understand that I'm living in a family filled with criminals!" He yelled and my eyes widened. His eyes widened as he realized what he said. He loosened his grip on my wrists and held his head in his hands knowing that he said something that he shouldn't. I got up and now I was terrified. "Forget everything I said okay this never happened."

"Why did you keep that from me this whole time." He stared back at me in disbelief.

"Are you serious! You wanted me to tell you! Are you crazy! How was I supposed to know that you won't go to the police." He said.

"Is this why you're leaving because you don't want the police to find out about your family!" I said.

"I'm leaving because of you, Charlotte!" My eyes widened.

"What.."

"Yes it's because of you. I'm leaving for you.."

"I don't understand."

"I'm a criminal I'm not supposed to have feelings. My dad was going to kill you in front of me. It was either that or me leaving." My eyes widened. He continued saying "please do me a favour and never look back." I stood in shock.

"Blake!" I heard a voice yell. His eyes widened.

"Go hide now." He said. I hesitated. "Now!" He said worried. I ran to the rock and sat down on the muddy grass in fear.

"Where have you been?" I heard the voice ask.

"What is it cole" Blake asked.

"Today we got training. Remember?" Cole asked.

"Oh yeah. Where's the meeting held?"
" we already had the meeting I was told to find you and tell you what to do."

"Oh"

"There are bombs  hidden everywhere in the forest find them all in 10 minutes before the bombs blow up. The bomb timers will start at 1:30 pm which is in 5 minutes. Got it. Oh and by the way of you see anyone other than the team.. Attack"

"Yeah"

As I heard their conversation my body froze in its place. Suddenly I heard foots running and saw Blake in front of me sweating.

"I don't have much time. Stay out of sight and don't move!" He said and ran away. My hands trembled as I was terrified of the situation I was in. I couldn't stay sitting there knowing that there will be explosions everywhere. I had to run. I got up and ran into what ever direction. I needed to get away. As I ran I looked back making sure no one was behind me. But then I tripped over a tree branch and fell. A strong pain shot through my body as I couldn't move my ankle. Suddenly I felt arms wrap around my body as a hand covered my mouth I was pulled back and suddenly I see a car. A black van. I then started moving and kicking even though every move made my ankle yell out in pain. The door opened and I was pushed inside. My breaths started to get unsteady as I see the face in front of me. "Stay calm" he said. "Everything will be fine as long as you're calm." The voice rang through my ears. It was his dad. Was this a set up for both of us?
