Chapter 24: lost hope

He walked closer to me as he sat beside me and pulled me closer into his arms. He held me tight as I felt safe being around him.

"Blake." I whispered in his chest as I cried.

"I'm right here." He said pulling me closer.

"I thought I'd never see you again." I said.

"I'll always be here even if you can't notice me, I'll be there I promise." He said. I looked up to be met with his beautiful eyes.

"What happened?" I asked. As he held me in his arms and kept me so close that I could feel his hot breath traveling from my neck and down to my spine.

"I lost them." He simply said.

Blake's POV (point of view)
I left her in a safe spot and give her my pistol her hands trembled and I could feel her panic. She told me to not go but I had to go find Cole. I told her to stay and I started running. I didn't know where to go but I knew that one way or another I would find him. I felt being watched and stopped in my tracks. I looked around to see if anyone was there and saw him. Who else? The one I'm looking for. Cole.

"Looking for me?" He said from behind me.

"Why did you do it?" I asked as I turned around to meet him. Anger filled my body.

"Revenge." He said. I was confused.

"Revenge on what!" I asked.

"You stealing Jess from me and now I'm going to make you forget charlotte"

"Are you out of your mind"

"You see Blake, I liked Jess and she liked me back. But that was until you came and made her fall in love with you!"

"That's stupid she fell in love with me!"

"Oh really than explain how you were kissing her last night in the middle of the kitchen." He said.

"She kissed me by force! I was drunk!"

"Are you admitting that you're a cheater?"

"You of all should know that I love Charlotte."

"Stop lying to yourself Blake. You know you cheated on her."

With that I punched him right in the jaw and saw his face turning around as he held it.

"I trusted you! You were like a brother to me!" I yelled.

"Yeah I was that's until your dad paid me to find you."

"You betrayed me for money?" I said disappointed.

"Yeah." He simply said.

I then punched him again but this time he punched me back. We were there fighting.  Right there I pulled out a gun. I took out my knife that I had hid in my back pocket and starred at him, watching his every move.

"It's so easy to fool you Blake. You're like a little poppet with strings that we all control." He laughed.

He dropped the gun but I kept the knife.

"I'll make you an offer." He said as I just watched. "If you bring the girl I won't tell her you cheated on her. But, if you don't, I'll tell her even if my life depends on it." He said.

"What do you want from her?"

"Not me. Your dad. I'll make sure nothing happens to her if you accept."

"Fine."
