We all get lost
Sometimes,
You know.
It's how we learn
And how we grow.

The feeling of vomit in your throat is quite unpleasant. Anyone who has experienced it, knows it's true.

"Maybe you should see a doctor," Toby suggested as he rubbed circled on Spencer's back as she hovered over the toilet.

"It's just a bit of the stomach flu, it'll go away soon." Spencer shrugged.

"This has been going on for a while, Spence. Maybe it's something more,"

"I'm not pregnant." Spencer said, too quickly.

"That's not what's I was suggesting." Toby said.

Spencer took a deep breath and stood up. "I gotta get to class."

"Are you sure? You don't wanna get anyone else sick," Toby advised.

Spencer shrugged. "This is college, Toby. There's not much I can do."

"Well... have fun, then." Toby said, giving her a swift kiss on her cheek. "I'll see you later,"

After Spencer heard the familiar click of her dorm room door shut and she knew that Toby had left, she dived into her bathroom cabinet.

Spencer was a lair. All through high school she had lied with her friends. Now, she tried her best not to lie. But the truth was, she was a liar.

She wished she hadn't lied to Toby. She really did. But she had.

Spencer reached for the pink box on the top shelf, inside was a pregnancy test that was about to tell her future.

Patience is a rare thing to come by, especially when you are being patience for what might save you or destroy you.

Spencer couldn't be patience for three minutes to wait for a stupid pregnancy test. She couldn't possibly be patient for a child. She wasn't a mother.

Buried in her thoughts of parenthood, Spencer almost didn't hear the timer go off.

She stood from her position on the closed toilet seat to check it.

Pregnant.

"Hello?" A voice called.

Spencer panicked. she quickly shoved the pregnancy test back into the box and then put the box back on the top shelf.

It was her roommate, Izzy.

"Hello?" Izzy called again.

"I'm in the bathroom," Spencer replied in a hurry.

The thing about Izzy was she had no sense of privacy.

She casually strode through the bathroom door just as Spencer slammed the cabinet shut, the pregnancy test locked safely inside.

"What's up?" Izzy asked.

"Nothing," Spencer answered, quickly. Too quickly.

Izzy furrowed her brow. "What is it? Is there something going on? Do I have food in my teeth?"

"No, your fine." Spencer shook her head.

Izzy stepped closer. "Is it that boyfriend of yours?"

It was so ironic, Spencer could laugh. "No, he just left,"

"Oh." Was all Izzy said. "I know I'm not your best friend and we're not all that close but... you can tell me anything. I'm here."

Spencer gave her a sad smile. "Thank you."

"So are you knocked up or something?" Izzy joked.

Spencer couldn't bring herself to joke along with her. Instead a single tear rolled down Spencer's pink cheek, giving away her entire secret.

Izzy's jaw fell open. "Oh my god, you're pregnant."
