Think about my
Grandad's eyes,
And how they always
send me home.
I can almost
Hear him now,
I gotta make him proud.
Spencer slept at Toby's. She decided it was best and Toby definitely agreed.
"I better get back," Spencer sighed to Toby.
Toby gave a sad smile. "I'll still see you this weekend?"
"Yes. And don't forget that I'm my mom's, ok?"
"I got it," Toby insisted.
"I'm gonna write it down," Spencer said. She reached over Toby's body to his bed-side table where his phone was sitting. She quickly typed in his password and jotted everything down in his reminders.
Toby rolled his eyes. "That app doesn't even work properly,"
"It's there for a reason," Spencer shrugged.
"I could call in sick. We could spend the day together," Toby offered, placing a hand on her hip.
"No, don't." Spencer argued. "Aren't you on that drug case?"
"No, Parker kicked me off. I'm stuck doing paperwork,"
"I'm sorry," Spencer sighed.
"Yeah whatever. Someone's got to do it," Toby shrugged.
"Do you wish you still worked for rosewood PD?" Spencer asked, guilty.
"No, no, Tanner was horrible." Toby explained. "What I am kinda bummed about is that I got the transfer to be closer to you while you were at college but now..."
"I'm sorry," Spencer said.
"Takes two to make a baby," Toby shrugged.
Spencer thought for a minute. "So, are you gonna keep working there?"
"What do you mean?" Toby asked.
"Well, you could come live with me..."
Toby was shell shocked. Sure, living together would be a step but so would having a baby. The two had never had the living together conversation because she was in high school and then college. They had years to think about it.
"Yes," Toby found himself saying. "I can bring a few boxes this weekend and try to find somewhere close to work,"
"Really?" Spencer asked.
"Yeah."
