Mrs. Potato head,
Tell me.
Is it true that
pain is beauty?
Does a new face

Will a pretty face
Make it better?"This is a bad idea." Spencer stated.
"It was your idea." Izzy said. "Besides, there's no turning back now. You told them you were coming."
"That was a mistake." She said.
The door to Spencer's childhood home swung open and Spencer's mother ran out.
"Spencer?" Her mother wrapped her in a hug. "Your father and I have missed you so much!"
"Hi, Mom." Spencer hugged her mother back while halting at Izzy.
"Who's this?" Veronica asked.
"Mom, this is Izzy. She's my friend from school." Spencer explained.
Izzy politely stuck out her hand which Veronica shook, happy to meet one of her daughters friends.
Spencer couldn't help but feel a little bad. She hadn't wanted to tell her parents alone so she begged Izzy to come with her, practically forced her to.
"Mom, I have something to tell you," Spencer said.
"Alright then, out with it!" Veronica demanded.
Spencer took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant."
Veronica's mouth flew open like a fly trap. "We mustn't tell your father,"
"Mom!"
"What?" She demanded. "He'll only be terribly disappointed and angry and we mustn't bring that upon ourselves."
"Mom..."
"I'm your mother and I'm telling you not to tell your father." Veronica concluded.
"Fine." Spencer huffed.
"So, what are we doing?" Veronica asked, changing the subject.
"Well, I don't really know." Spencer answered.
"Oh," Veronica said, understandingly. "Well, you've got 9 months to decide."
"What about-"
"Don't even say it, Spencer." Veronica interrupted. "You're not in high school anymore, a surgery can't take away your problems. Consequences."
"Mom, you don't get to make the choice for me," Spencer argued. It wasn't that she particularly wanted to abort the baby but she hated the idea of her mother taking away her choices.
"I do if you're going to make the wrong one." Veronica snapped. "If you abort your child then, I swear, you are going to regret it. I read once that getting an abortion limits the chance of having children in the future and I need to have grandchildren that don't live in London."
"Well, you don't get to decide." Spencer stated. "It's my decision and you will support us in whatever we decide."
Veronica have a sad smile. "Don't make the wrong decision, Spencer," she warned.
