Then you smile,
That's my killer
So I say "love you"
And "baby, I need you"Spencer sat on the couch. Her shirt finds fit her anymore but she wore it anyway. It's not like she was going to go outside.
"Hey, Toby?" Spencer asked.
"Yeah," Toby said, coming over and sitting down next to her on the couch.
"I think we should get out of here," Spencer declared.
"Like move?" Toby asked.
"No, like take a road trip." She corrected. "We could go see Aria and Ezra, Hanna and Caleb, even Emily and Alison if we wanted to go for a whole week."
Toby shrugged. "Ok, sure."
"You don't seem excited?"
"Spence, you never do anything on a whim." Toby explained. "Especially not a trip. Do you wanna take some time and think about it?"
"No," Spencer said. "I'm done planning. Life won't go the way I want it to even if I draw a carefully layer out map and set of instructions. I'm done planning."
"Ok." Toby said. "But good luck trying to get your mom to let you to go. She barley lets you leave the barn to get groceries let alone a road trip."
"I'm a adult. I don't need her permission to leave." Spencer stated.
---
"Mom, you can't keep me here!" Spencer screamed at her mother.
"I can and I will." Veronica stated.
Spencer rolled her eyes. "In an adult now, you don't get to run my life anymore."
"Your almost 5 months, Spence. Soon you'll be in you third trimester and your not supposed to drive by then."
"If we stay longer than we're supposed to and I enter the third trimester then Toby can drive." Spencer reasoned. "I've done everything you've told me to to keep the baby healthy from the moment I moved back in."
"Yeah, against your will."
"Pfft." Spencer blew off. "I know you want me to keep the baby so that you won't have to think of the pregnancy as some accident but I'm not keeping it. Toby and I have made our decision."
Veronica gave Spencer a look of sympathy. "Ok, have fun on your road trip."
