Chapter 28

Alice's Pov:

I wake up in my bed. How the hell did i get here and why does my head hurt. I was in the car with Cally and then it went dark.
"CALLY!!!" I scream hysterically. She didn't respond
I scream again "CALLY!!!!!" Even louder
Then someone bursts into my room
"Alice" i heard
"Adriano...what are you doing here and why does my head hurt?" I say questioning him
"Well about that...okay so see you fell asleep last night in the car and Cally tried to wake you up but you didn't budge so she couldn't carry you. The only thing was possible was if i carried you in" he smiled
"Wow um thank you" i hug him
"Yeah you shouldn't be thanking me though cause im the reason you have a headache" he looked guilty at me. Oh dear god what did he do
"Oh so you um see..." he scratched the back of his neck
"When i was carrying you to here I lost balance a bit and you hit your head on the wall" he decided to whisper that part but enough for me to hear.
"Oh god, well it was an accident i guess you didn't mean it" i smile at him

I get out of bed and ask Adriano to go out because i need to shower and change. After i shower i get dressed and sit on my bed. Today I'm moving, i sigh I'm going to miss it here. But at least I'm going to live with Adriano. I just remembered he outside, he's a really nice guy. He came last night to bring me inside, even though he hit my head by accident. He really looked guilty even though it wasn't his fault. Even though he's in the mafia he has a teddy bear heart. He wants to protect me. I wonder if he felt about this with anyone else...

I stare at the ground thinking if he has felt like this about someone. Jealousy starts to creep up in me, i have to admit i do have really strong feeling about him. I sigh again but then comes a knock on my door.
"Im coming in" he says
He opens the door and furrow his brows. I can tell he thinks something up
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine" i smile at him
"Are you sure? If your having second thoughts about you moving with me then-" i cut him off
"No no its just that" i stop mid sentence
"What?"
"Nothing, i'll tell you later" i smile at him again
He opened his mouth and closed it again. But then he decided to speak "okay" he nodded
"Thank you"

He approached me and asked if he could sit next to me. I nodded
"So all your stuff is in the car so when your ready just tell me" he smiles
Then we hear coughing. It was Cally. Adriano knew what that meant so he got up and went out
"So your moving huh"
I hug her "yeah i guess i am"
"If he ever hurts you just give me a call and i will rip his balls out" she says while wiping her tears
"Im going to miss you Cally"
"Me too kiddo" we hug for a very long time. Until Adriano knocks
"Hey um Alice if your ready to go just say so okay"
I nod "well i guess i should go"
"Im gonna miss you Ally" she hugs me again
"Me to Cally"

We say our goodbye's and i walk out to Adriano's car. George was there so I decided to say hi to him
"Hey George" i smile at him
"Hello Mam" he smiled and nodded
"You don't have to call me that just call me Alice or Ally is fine George"
"Will do Ma-Alice" he smiled
I got into the car and so did Adriano he sat besides me. I wave at Cally then George drove off. I slumped into the seat and started wondering how did i get here?When I moved out of my parents house i was sure this wasn't going to happen. I thought i would you know have a normal life go to college, meet a guy, fall in love romantically, then have 2 children and love them all unconditionally. I guess life is funny you really don't know whats going to happen. Who would've thought i would meet this amazing guy who i fell for but he's in the mafia which I'm still trying to get used too. Yes I Alice McKenzie admit it Im in love with the guy. Who wouldn't fall in love with him i mean if you were treated like a princess and he has the guts to tell you he loves you who wouldn't fall for him?

I suddenly realize Adriano was staring at me. I blush like a tomato I'm pretty sure.
"What are thinking about beautiful?" He smirks
"About how i fell for you"
As i said this Adriano eyes widened
"What?"
"What? What?" I giggle
"What do you mean?"
I hug him and lay my head on his chest and say the three words "I love you, you idiot"
His eyes widened more and he grinned like a kid at Christmas.
"I love you too beautiful"
