Chapter 10

We went home after looking around the mall. I felt tired and somehow excited to see Jamie again. But i realized i shouldnt because its just a friend dinner right? I went to my room to rest a bit, and try to find out what makeup should i wear. I decided that if were just going as friend im going to just put eyeliner but maybe lipstick would be nice. I put my eyeliner on that has a wing and did my lipstick. I decided to put my hair in a messy bun. Then i heard a knock. I was thinking it was Jamie and i wasnt ready yet so i asked cally to get the door while i finished up. I put on my dress and put on my necklace that was silver and had a loop. I then put on my shoes and grabed my bag. I used a beige colored clutch.

I went downstairs and Jamie was there. He looked incredible. He stared at me and i was scared did i have something on my face? I tapped his shoulder
"Um you ok? Do i have something on my face?"
"Uuumm no-oo its just that you look so beautiful" he stutters
I blushed and he realized. He smiled at me and put his arm out. "Shall we go?"
I looked at cally and she mouthed the word date. And i shook my head "Cally im going to go now see you later"
"See you later"
I put my arm around his and walked to his car. He opened my door and i went in. He went in and turned the car on and we left. I was wondering is this a date? Or are we just friends? I brushed it off because i knew were just friends.
"So Mr.Adams where are we going?"
"Well i was going to take you to that bistro but you already went there with Aaron so im going to take you somewhere special"
"Where?"
"Its a secret Ms.Mackenzie"
"Mysterious as always Mr.adams?"
He laughed and so did i

We soon arrived to this place up on a hill and there was a table with a bottle of wine with 2 plates of food and a rose. The table was under an arch with all these lights. It was beautiful, i looked at Jamie
"Jamie this is beautiful"
He smiled as i didnt notice but i smiled myself.
"I knew you would like it"
"Its wonderful"
"Shall we?"
I got out the car and went to the table he pulled open my chair and i sat down. He went to his chair and looked at me.
"I hope you like um pasta"
"I love pasta Jamie"
"Great"
I smiled then i took a sip of the wine. It tastes delicious. Jamie noticed that i liked the wine
"Are you enjoying Ms.Mackenzie?"
"Why yes Mr.Adams"
"Im glad to see you happy"
I smiled and blushed. I soon realized why i agreed to go with him.
"Um jamie"
"Yes alice?"
"So um" i didnt want to ruin the momment something told me that i didnt want to know but another part of me does want to know.
"Alice?"
"So jamie, the question"
"Ah yes"
"Why didnt you hire me?"
"Well its because.." He looked worried
"Jamie? Are you ok?"
"Well yes, the reason i didnt hire you is because"
"Because?"
"The first time you came into my office and i saw you. I knew i instantly liked you. And i just couldnt hire you because it would be akward if we had to have any realtionship if you were my employee, PA to be exact"
My eyes widened, i was shocked. I just stared at him
"Please say something"
"I-I-I dont know what to say" i know hes not telling me something
"Well i did just say i liked you. To be honest Alice, i really really like you to the point when i saw you with Aaron i was-" he stopped talking
"You were what Jamie?"
"Nothing, hows the pasta?"
"Delicious"
"Good"

We talked all evening and we laughed. He told me how he and Aaron met and other stuff. I think it was a date, i had to admit to myself that i did like him. I really liked him and he liked me too. Should i tell him?
