Alice's/Angela's Pov:
The car comes to a complete stop when we were met with a home, identical to others but this one had an apple tree while the others had oranges. I smile at the tree that was filled with memories, George and I used to climb it and talk about stuff. What kind of stuff? Everything, to school, to people, heck even our dreams. I walk out the door not waiting for the guard to open the door for me. I walk to the house and I heard two car doors shut at the same time, I look back and see Antonio and Luca standing there. I think they knew that I wanted to do this alone first. I hesitate to knock but as I was about to knock, the door opened. I took a deep breath and looked up, i heard voices that were familiar
"Alice Mckenzie?" I heard them say
"Hello Mr and Mrs Hemsey, how are you?" I ask them, I could see them getting old. The wrinkles that are starting to look visible on Mrs. Hemsey's face but she still looked beautiful, Mr. Hemsey's hair turning gray.
"We're fine honey but how are you? Wow look how grown up you are!" George's mom exclaimed
"I'm doing great, I just visited my parents. Is George here by any chance? My parents said he's in town" I ask them
"You just missed him, he left just two hours ago. If only you said you'd be coming I would've stopped him from leaving" She chuckles
"Oh, where does he live now?" I ask her and her answer surprises me
"He lives in Grimont now" that's where I live... how come I never seen him.
"You went there right? For college?"
"Yeah I um did, I still live there. Where does he work Mrs. Hemsey?" I ask her out of my curiosity
"Oh he has his own business called Hemsey but I think he said he's in partnership with one of the companies there. Theres an A in the name but I always forget what it is. Agan? Aton? Asam? Atom??" She says as she tries to remember, I think I know where this is leading.... I hope not though...
"Adam Enterprises?" I spat out
"Yes that one! He always goes on and on about his partnership and how the company is doing well" She says and I freeze in place. This world is so small... I just... fate is twisted. Crap! I snap out of my thoughts
"Um thank you Mr and Mrs Hemsey for everything. I'll be going now" they try to stop me, I think they sensed something was wrong.
"Whats wrong?" Antonio and Luca say but ignore them and get in the car.
"Angela! Whats wrong?" I hear Antonio's voice
"Antonio lets go home, I'll tell you on the way" I tell him pleading and he tells the driver to go.
"What happened?" He asks once more
"Angela are you okay?" Luca asks
"I'm fine it's just that, the world is just so small. Guess where George is?" I ask them and they kept quiet
"He's in Grimont, not only that! He works with Adriano" I tell them and they looked surprised
"Your best friend works for Adriano? So? Isn't that better? He knows where Adriano is, you can ask him" Antonio says
"You don't get it, I don't want to drag him into all of this mess. I don't want to ruin his life" I tell them and Antonio chuckles
"Angela, your not messing anyones life up. You just need to ask him where he is and that's it. You wont mess anything up. Anyways since he's in the mafi-" I cut him off and tell him he's not in the mafia
