Alice's Pov:
Arriving at the airport after a two hour flight is relieving. I had to wear headphones the whole way to here because Adriano wouldn't stop arguing with Nick but to be fair, Adriano started it.
Walking to a car that was ready by Adriano we were on our ways to my parents house. I don't know what to tell them or what to say, hey I know I'm not your child and I'm marrying the son of the guy who kidnapped me and was given to you. Hell no! I don't know how I am going to this. My expression must've looked very confused because next thing you know Nick asks me what's wrong.
"Other than the fact that I'm meeting the people who I trusted the most actually aren't my parents and I might add knew that I was stolen from my real family, nothing nope I don't think so" I said in sarcasm
"Okay so we are almost there, so what's the plan?" Adriano asks
"Well I was thinking Nick can go in first then you and if they recognize you both then I will accept the truth" I tell them, if they do know Nick.... I'll know
Arriving at my childhood home makes me smile at the memories. Nick gets out first and I hide behind him hoping I'm not seen.
When we reach the front door I hide but not far to not head their conversation. Knock, knock, knock. Nick does three and I hear my dad saying he's coming. I hear the front door open and hear my dad gasp.
"Glad to see you Boris" I see Nick smile cynically
"What do you want Nicholas" I hear my dad say with hate
"Is that anyway to treat your guest Boris? Where's Diana? How is she doing? I do miss her cookies"
"She's inside but you will not set one foot into my house, your father agreed after the last encounter we would never speak again if it wasn't about her" I start to feel a tear slip and I cover my mouth to muffle my sobs
"Oh yes I know about that but this is about her" Nick says and Adriano walks first then I hear my dad take out a gun
"What is an Italian doing with you?! Your father will surely kill you Nicholas" I hear him shout
"Daddy" I say and his eyes widen while dropping the gun, his face turns pale
"Oh my god... Ally baby. When did you get here? Why are you crying baby? What happened?" Pretending nothing happened
"So it's true. What Nick said, what Adriano has been telling me" I see guilt allover his face, he doesn't make a sound all he does is lower his head facing the ground. I don't know what possessed me but I started to get angry
"Why! Why?! I don't understand! I thought of you as my father but you were only doing dirty work for Alexei! You were the only one I trusted! I loved you so much" I scream and cry
"Alice...I--I-I'm so sorry. I love you too baby girl... You are my daughter" He says sobbing
"Why don't we take this inside Alice. People will suspect something" Nick says and Adriano put his hand on my waist directing me inside.
I take a deep breath and I look around the house... my house... The house has so many good memories but it was based on all lies. When he told me he would never hurt me but he did, for how many years by not telling me. I get inside and see my mom siping tea.
"Honey.." My dad says and she looks direct at him and her eyes widen but with glee.
"Alice! What a surprise! I missed you s-" She stopped mid sentence when Nick walked in next to me and so did Adriano
"Who are your *gulp* friends honey?" She says as she never met either one of them
"Oh this is Nick the son of the guy who kidnapped me as a kid and gave to you and also my fiancé, plus this is Adriano the love of my life. Oh yeah my real name is Angela not that fake name you gave me, what's yours mom?" I spat at her and she looks at me as if I grew two heads, she turns her head to my dad and they make eye contact
"Oh honey, you must have such a wild imagination!" She laughs "My poor baby must be tired, come come i'll make you and your friends some tea and biscuits" she hurriedly makes her way to the stove, with shaky hands she turns to get the biscuits of the shelf
"Mom" I say once but she just ignores me
"Mom" I say again but she still is just fiddling with the biscuits
"MOM! TELL ME THE TRUTH!" I scream and everyone looks shocked
"I. know. everything. I know you aren't my real mom because she died giving birth to me, I know your real name isn't Martha, I know Alexei gave me to you to cover up his tracks, and I KNOW YOU WORK FOR HIM. Nick told me everything, they were going to kill me mom did you know that? How did you raise me without feeling guilt? My real Dad was looking everywhere to find me and he never gve up, because of you he wasted his whole life searching for me with my oh get this the great part, my brother" I tell her and she just starts to sob then instantly I feel guilty for lashing out on her
"Fine, you want the truth. Seems like you know about it already so why do I need to say it?" She says
"I want to hear it from you, both of you" I hear him sigh
"Honey don't" I hear my mom say
"She knows already what's the point, she deserves the truth anyways Diana"
"My name is Boris and your mother's Diana. We both worked for Alexei and one day he called us into his office and gave me you. He told us to take you and raise you but to be careful because the Italians might find you and take you back. That's why we live so far from them, Alexei said he would never bother us again only to give us the money he provided for everything. I don't know how you got involved in this Alice but you need to get out of this, how did you even meet Adriano? Or Nick? We love you Alice, we can flee the country where no one will find us. We can go away from these people. Alice please forgive us, we love you" Leave? Adriano? Not a chance
"Leave? I can't now, I have to marry Nick. Tomorrow to be exact" I see Adriano in the corner of my eye holding his anger
"MARRIED?! You can't marry into the family of mafia Alice. It's to dangerous" Boris says
"Marry into a family? Oh come on. I am the Mafia, always was" I say
"ALICE IT'S DANGEROUS! I AM YOUR FATHER AND I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!" He screams at me
"Father? My father is Dante Adamo! You took his privileges to be one!" I can see him get hurt by my words
"I'm sorry, I love you guys but I can't help feel betrayed by you two. You guys were the only ones I could trust in this world and turns out your child abductors. I still love you though you guys raised me with me love but that doesn't mean you aren't wrong" I tell them, I can see a tear slip down his face and her holding back her tears.
"I came here to inform you about my wedding and to tell you I know the truth. I'm going now Boris and Diana. Thank you for taking care of me" I say and walk out the house as quick as I can getting in the car, I hear the door open and Adriano comfort's me.
After crying for I don't know how long Adriano is still cuddling me while Nick is in the front seat.
"Adriano I want to go home" I say
"Alice let's get something to eat first okay? Then we will go home okay?" He says as he strokes my hair
I sniffle and agree with him.
