Chapter 43

Alice's Pov:

Did he just say kill her?! Is he crazy or something!
"Adriano! You can't just kill someone! That's murder!"
"Well she's annoying! I hate her!" He says facing his back towards me
Oh Adriano... "Adriano we are not killing her"
"I'm going to kill her and I don't care! She almost ruined my life" he shouts at me
"Adriano" I say getting closer to him, I hug him from the back and he turns to me
"Yes beautiful" he says
"Dmitri will know I'm gone soon, he will suspect you took me. I have to go back"
"No, you aren't going back. If they want a war let it be" he's crazy that's it. I pull apart from the hug
"LUCIANO!" I scream and he comes running into the room
"Alice are you okay?!" He looks at me with worry
"I'm fine but I want to ask you a favor. I need you to take me back to wherever Nick was" I ask him and see his eyes widen and Adriano giving Luciano a glare for him to say no
"A-Alice I don't think that's a good idea" he says
"Luciano, Adriano wants to go to war just because of me. I won't have any live's be at stake just for my well being. We will find a way don't worry. I'm not marrying Nick, he told me he postponed it. Dmitri won't let Nick marry me if Cecilia is not there to witness it"
He just stares at me, I think he's thinking. After a while of thinking I guess he agrees.
"LUCIANO ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Adriano screams at him
"We can't go to war right now. Alice could be at stake, they could try to kill her. If she's with Nick no one will dare touch her"
"Adriano it's okay. Nick is fine, he's a good man. He won't try anything, don't worry" I assure him
He doesn't spare a glance at me, I sigh. Then I walk to Luciano and he takes me to his car.

When we arrive to the place we make sure Dmitri wasn't there and thank god he wasn't. Okay good, I get out the car and walk through the gate then give Luciano a nod to assure him I'm going to be fine.

I walk inside the house and see guards looking at me. I don't look at them and walk to the room where I was put in by Dmitri. I see Nick inside pacing back and forth. I cough and his head shoots at me, I wave my hand.
"Oh my god are you okay?" He asks me
"Yeah and you were right...Adriano has a plan but a bad one" I tell him
"And what's that?" He asks
"Well he knew she wasn't Angela, he knew she was Cecilia. So he wants to um...kill her" he opened his mouth to talk but I cut him off
"But I told him to find another way to sort things out. Can you distract your brother any longer?"
"I don't know it's up to Cecilia actually. I can try stalling her, saying she has to spend more time with Adriano longer and it's more important than my wedding" he tells me and my heart tugs
"Ouch, but okay I hope it works" I tell him
"Okay I'll give her a call" He walks out the room and I'm left alone. Okay I should do something, I lay on the bed and get my phone. I put on my headphones to hear music and open my texts and I see some from Cally. Oh crap! I open her texts and it was 99+ okay well I'm dead, i open it and answer her quickly.
"Heyy lost my phone biatch but I found it! Thank god! Hehe I'm sorry I haven't seen your texts or answered your calls. Btw my phone is going to be fixed so maybe yeah I won't be active but as soon as it get fixed I'll text you! Okay bye Cally Love you byee" I hurriedly hit the send button and turn off my phone. Okay that was close, now I have nothing to do.

I get up from the bed and roam around the room. I look at the dresser and something caught my eye, it was a picture. I pick it up and it was a family picture of three little boys and a little girl with their parents. Two boys looked identical, they probably were twins. They both had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, how adorable they were dressed the same way.

One looked really happy and the other one looked really sad. Oh no poor kid, I look at the other child who looked alot older than the twins, he has different color hair. Dark black hair and the same icy blue eyes, he was probably in his pre-teen years. His eyes held so much coldness, he didn't smile he didn't show any emotions.

Next was the little girl, she looked the youngest. She had the same blond hair like the twins, she wore a bow on her head and a pastel pink organza dress. She was holding a teddy bear that looked like it needed stitches, damn what did she do to it? I look at the parents and the mom is smiling but I see she is fake smiling, she looks like a typical stay at home mom while the dad looks very tough to the point he would kill you if you disrespected him once or even if you were thinking of it, he was wearing a dark black suit that was the same color as his hair. I think this is Nick's family, suddenly I hear the door open and in comes Nick.
"Well Cecilia got mad at me for taking up her time, but she agreed to what I said" he says
"Great, I guess. By the way I found this picture, is that you?" I point at the twin who is smiling
"No...I'm next to him" he says
"Oh..why do you um look so sad?" I ask him and he sighs
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" He cuts me off
"I look sad because my family was horrible" he tells me
"Why is that?" I say confused
"Alice we are in the mafia. My dad isn't exactly the nicest person, he loved Cecilia,Dmitri and my other brother Jerome. He's dead by the way, Adriano killed him" He says
"I know and I'm so sorry" I tell him
"Don't worry he deserved it. He got his karma, Cecilia's and Dmitri's is still waiting" He grits through his teeth
"I thought you don't betray your family?" I ask him
"I don't. I'm just waiting for something bad to happen to both of them well three of them. I'm not doing anything so it's not actually betraying, I didn't do it but I helped do it" he says
"Three?" I ask
"Cecilia,Dmitri and of course I would never leave the mighty Alexei" He says
"Your Father why?"
"I'm going to tell you my backstory" he chuckled
"So my mother was a saint. Beautiful, kind, loving all the criteria's for the perfect mother and wife. My father loved her but changed when he got his let's say throne. She loved him and her kids, but Cecilia,Jerome and Dmitri were bad. They were taught by my Father to kill and get what they want even if it took murder. I was taught that too but my mother she told me not to get mixed up in that. She told me to be kind and show kindness to others. I never listened to my father's wishes I guess that's why I was such a disappointment to him. One day I was walking around the house and heard screaming and my siblings laughing. I ran to the screams and the laughter, it was coming from my father's office. I entered and saw my mother on the floor bruised and beaten" oh my god, who is that fucked up to do that?I let him finish
"Cecilia was kicking her while Jerome and Dmitri were punching her. My father was amused by this bur I was terrified. What kid would like to see their mother being treated like that? None I suppose. I got scared and my mother just took it. She didn't stand up for herself she was too weak. I shouted at them to stop and they did. They glared at me but Cecilia was the creepiest that time. The look in her face looked murderous, she was walking slowly to me but my father stoped her in her tracks. He looked angry at me next thing I know he hands me a gun. Telling me to shoot her and my mother just smiled at me while mouthing to me 'It's okay'. I-I pointed it but I couldn't do it. I dropped the gun and Cecilia picked it up immediately aimed at her and she shouted 'I love you" to me then shot her in cold blood. Dmitri and Jerome just walked away so did my father but before he left he told me I was a disappointment to the Ivanov Family. He left with Cecilia telling her he was proud and complementing her how good she did. They left while I ran to my mother's lifeless body. I cried and cried for her, that day I swore they will pay for it but I wouldn't do it. Me and somebody will and it will hurt even more. Knowing his empire was taken from him from his son and his enemy" I looked at him and I didn't realize I was crying. Oh god that is so fucked up, I hug Nick and repeat sorry to him. He smiles and holds my hand
"It's okay it wasn't your fault, I'm sorry I kidnapped you. Dmitri was supposed to be the one but I told my father I would do it. Cecilia is the one who told my father about you, I heard their conversation and I didn't want anyone to get hurt so I asked Dmitri to give it to me and thankfully he did. I didn't want you to get hurt"
I hug Nick and thank him. Something suddenly pop's into my mind
"Nick you said that my da- Charlie faked the DNA test, that I'm not his. Am I really? I mean is he really not my-" I don't finish my sentence and look at the floor
"Yes, I saw Charlie once come into my dad's office and I eavesdropped. I didn't know you at the time but now I do and I thought you had a right to know. Alexei gave him a fake DNA test saying your his and I had to make sure you were Angela so I took your hair and some of Antonio's. Guess you have a big brother now" he laughs awkwardly
"Antonio...how did you get his DNA?" I ask him
"Went to Antonio's barber shop where he does his hair" he said so casually
"Ewww creepy! Weirdo!" I tease him
"Yeah yeah I'm the weirdo" he rolls his eyes
"I'm just kidding stupid" I hit his arm
"Seems like two DNA's came positive I guess..I really am...her"
