The school bell emitted a high piercing noise, which brought a throbbing sensation to my head, signalling the end of the school. Students started to stuff their bags with their notes and rushed out of the door, probably in a hurry for end-of-school activities or catching their detention.

Although I would love to go straight home and sleep till dinner, I promised myself that I would look for Reign.

The beautiful yet mysterious Reign whom I can't seem to take my mind off.

It would have been quite easy to look for her around town if I owned a car or a motor bike but, given the pleasure of living a mediocre lifestyle - note the sarcasm, I'm afraid I would have to walk all over the neighborhood to find her. And I don't even know where to start, let alone where she lives! Great.

Perhaps I can ask a teacher, say I need to find her for some kind of project. Yeah, I could start with that.

I saw Mr. Richards, our History teacher, the one I have with Reign, just getting out of his last class. Maybe he has some clue where she lives.

I approached Mr. Richards, "Excuse me, sir."

"Ah, Mr. McCraig. Good to see you. What can I help you with?"

"Well, sir, I would like to ask if you happen to know where Reign Fang lives? You see, we have this really important project together and I have to consult her with it but then I'm afraid she's not present. Can you help me?" I asked him with the most innocent expression I could muster. I just hope this helps.

"Ms. Fang? I remember her. The new girl, right? Well, I believe I could help you with that. I heard she's the new owner of the Old House far from town proper. You know, the one across the woods?"

Wait, that house was for sale? I thought it was abandoned seeing it's so old? I even thought it's already a part of the historical sites of our small town. I guess not.

Shoot! That's pretty far. And I don't have any way of transportation to get there.

"Thank you very much, sir. That's a big help," I told Mr. Richards then bid him goodbye.

Hm... What to do now? I could rent a cab. But then cabs aren't really used in our small town. I hardly see one these days. Because our town is really small, most families own their own vehicle. We do own a car, but then I'm quite sure mom wouldn't let me use it since I don't have a driver's license yet. I suddenly felt stupid for not acquiring one even after I reached 18. It's just that I thought I wouldn't need one because every place I want to go to is in walking distance. Curse my common sense.

I can borrow someone else's. Like Lila's car! Wait, no. Her parents know my mom so they would tell her. Besides that, they won't let me borrow it either for the same reason as me having no license.

Shit, what do I do?! Should I walk? But it's too far! I would have to walk about half the length of the whole woods. And that's saying something, I mean, the woods stretches for miles!

Wait, how about a bicycle? Oh, I left mine at home. Great. The one time I would need it and yet I left it at home. Now I would have to return home and get it. This sucks. Why am I looking for her anyway?

Because you feel bad about what you've said and you badly want to see her, an irritating part of my mind said.

Damn it, but yes I feel bad! And I do want to see her. What the heck did that girl do to me?
