After swallowing two Advils that I've found in the medicine cabinet in one gulp to lessen my headache and changing into different clothes, I headed back to the garage where my bicycle was situated. It's a good thing my bike is still as usable as it was when it was first bought. My father bought and assembled it for me when I was 12 for my birthday. The huge upset I felt for my parents for not buying me one sooner flew out of the window when I saw the coolest bike I've ever seen. Dad bought one with adjustable sitting and all so up until now I can use it without any fuss.

My dad died when I was 13 and left me with my Mom and Cole who's 5 years younger than me. But now that Cole's right at the age when I got my bike, he didn't ask for it. He asked Mom for a completely different thing: a Wii. That brat. That thing costs more than five times my bike. Sometimes life's just not fair. Thank goodness though that at least Mom bought me a laptop or I'd definitely throw a tantrum, no matter how childish I'd get.

I felt my headacje subside a little and I kicked the pedal faster, eager to reach my desired destination much sooner. Just the thought of seeing her again makes a shiver run down my spine.

The cool wind brought by the nearing night time blew my face. It would've been better if I was riding a motor bike.

After about twenty minutes of non-stop pedalling, I saw the structure of the house. Now that the sun has already set and darkness is already seeping from every corner, the Old House looks almost eerie and frightening. I can't believe Reign lives there. She should live in a much quiet and peaceful place. Somewhere near the town proper, not across the dangerous woods where wild animals are lurking.

I stepped on the brake just outside the gate of the house. It sure is spooky. Is Mr. Richards sure that Reign lives here? I don't think someone is even inside. Certainly, she lives with someone, right? I mean, the house is too big so she must have some kind of helper. Or maybe her parents are there. But then no one ever mentioned any Mr. and Mrs. Fang.

A car parked outside the front door caught my attention. Ah, so someone does live here. Is that Reign's car, though? I don't think so. It's a black convertible Mercedes Benz. I'm sure that's a guy's car.

My blood immediately boiled at the thought of a guy inside Reign's house. Nobody comes near my girl.

Your girl? Man, you ain't owning anyone here. Don't even think about owning Reign Fang when there is a guy inside her house with a clearly new Mercedes and you're outside sporting a 5-year-old bicycle, the voice in my head let me down straightaway.

Right. Why would I think that anyway? Just because we shared a couple of kisses doesn't mean I have the right to own her. Besides, maybe she does that to every guy she meets.

The last thought felt like a knife struck my chest and twisted it 360° and I can hardly breathe. I winced and sighed heavily. Why did I ever look for her anyway? She must've lost interest when I pushed her away and went to Lila's house instead. Man, this sucks.
