Captivated by the wolf's golden eyes, I sat there completely unaware of what to do yet not caring at all. The wolf moved and pushed its hind legs to stand with its four legs. The movement made me flinch and back up a little. The wolf saw my reaction and it stopped moving. It inclined its head to the right and looked straight at me.

Although this is the first time I ever saw a wolf, especially this close, I never felt any fear towards this particular wolf. Unlike the dread and fright I felt with the brown wolf. I know that, even without any basis, this wolf isn't gonna hurt me. This wolf saved my life.

I shifted my head to the side fast, and I felt my head throbbed, when I heard rustles and thumps. There came a wolf with a dark brown fur with the same golden eyes. It looked at me and I immediately felt scared. It bared its sharp teeth at me and I heard a growl coming from the white wolf, but not directed at me. It's growling at the new wolf and stepped up fast in front of me, as if protecting me. I suddenly felt light and warm that the wolf is willing to fight two wolves just to protect me.

The dark brown wolf stopped snarling and bowed its head. That amazed me. It seems that my wolf holds some power.

Yes, from now on, it's my wolf.

My wolf visibly relaxed and stopped its growling. They stayed still for a while then the dark brown wolf raised its head and looked at me. There's something wrong with the way it's looking at me. It's like, the wolf is trying to figure me out or something which is totally weird. Especially now that the white wolf followed suit and looked at me, too. Okay, this is getting weirder and weirder. Are they expecting some treat from me or something? Or a pat in the head for a good job?

The ears of the two wolves tweaked and their heads turned to the side, as if sensing something. They immediately posed their fighting stance and stepped in front of me, snarling at the bushes and trees. A minute after, a girl stepped out of the bushes completely exhausted and flushed. She looked around, her eyes wild. Her gaze landed on the dead wolf then tears began pooling her eyes and soon after she was bawling her eyes out.

What? Why is she crying? Was the wolf her pet?

My thoughts immediately halted when the girl shouted. My eyes bulged and my jaw almost dropped to the ground when her then brown eyes turned gold, bones cracked and her clothes tore apart.

What the fuck is happening?!

Fur started to sprout out of her skin and bones continued popping. She was still shouting but her shouts turned into growls.

I heard a strangled sound and I realized it came from me. My headache returned fast and now I feel like a huge hammer is pounding my head. What in world is going on?! Am I fucking dreaming?!

In a blink of an eye, the girl was gone and a light brown wolf stood in her place with the remaining torn clothes at its feet. A whimper made its way out of my mouth when I saw its golden eyes turned into completely black and vacant eyes. It released a long howl full of agony then it looked at the two wolves in front of me with menacing eyes. The wolves gnashed their teeth so the wolf just ran off.

My mind was still blank and reeling from what I just witnessed when the two wolves turned to look at me. I back away from them, suddenly terrified of the thought of wolves surrounding me. My breathing shifted and I was almost hyperventilating.

The two wolves looked at each other and, like in a silent agreement, bones cracking and popping filled my ears again. For the second time today, although in a completely different way, I saw with my own two eyes how such living things can transform.

The wolves turned into humans, utterly and undeniably naked humans.

And the white wolf turned out to be Reign.
