Ashton's p.o.v.
I honestly wasn't hungry. My throat was killing me something awful, and I didn't want to have to swallow anything. "Can I just have some more medicine mom?" I asked "Yeah baby, you're sure you don't want anything to eat?" "No." I shake my head, making it pound even harder "Alright." Mom handed me a bottle of water, while dad gave me a couple aspirin. "You get some rest Ashton, just yell if you need anything." Dad said, giving me a hug and walking out with mom. Just before I fell asleep, I heard my door inch open. "Ash, you okay?" My little brother whispered "Hey Mikey." I give him small smile, glad to not be alone "Come on in bud." "I was really worried about you. You slept all day." "Don't worry about me 'lil buddy, I'll be okay, just need some more sleep." "Ash, can I sleep with you?" "You have your own bed." I pointed out "Right there. Ten feet away." "But I wanna sleep with you!" He whined "No." "Yes." "C'mon Mikes, you don't wanna catch this, and if you're too close to me you will." I shook my head "No I won't." Michael protested, snuggling up to my side anyway "You're gonna get sick."' I warned "I don't care. Nobody should be sick and alone." I shook my head, but couldn't keep a smile from my face. I was grateful he was here.

Morning came and I felt worse. Mikey looked comfortable, so I didn't want to wake him. I did anyway ten minutes later thanks to my coughing. "Ashy?" Michael mumbled, before opening his eyes and trying to hand me a bottle of water "It's okay." I shook my head, waving it off "You don't feel any better, huh?" "No." I groaned "Guess I really do have to go to the doctors today." I honestly hated going to the doctors office. The rooms, the tools everywhere, and the bright lights. Never mind the doctors prodding you with questions, when all you want to do is collapse and sleep. "C'mon Ash, the doctors aren't that bad. Maybe if you do good, they'll give you a lollipop." Michael couldn't hold back a laugh at the last part "Shut up." I smirked
