Calum-not a smart idea

Calum Hood, 15, not a morning person.
"Calum get up! You need to be out the door in 10 minutes if you want a ride with Ashton!"
Calum groaned and rolled over
'Why can't school start at noon?' He thought to himself as he rolled out of bed.
"There's my boy" Joy said as she saw Calum come down the stairs.
Calum grunted and mumbled that he would eat later as he walked sluggishly out the door.

"Wow Hood, you look like such a morning person" Ashton chuckled as Calum slid into the front seat and put his head back
Calum just grunted again and closed his eyes
"The others are already at school, Liz teaches first period today so she drove them." Ashton looked over and saw that Calum was out cold next to him

"Hey Ash!" Michael yelled as he saw the car pull up to the front of the school.
"Shh, wanna help me prank Cal?" Micheal and Luke looked confused until they saw the sleeping kiwi in the front seat of the car
"Hell ya!" They both whisper yelled in unison
"Okay" Ashton whispered "on the count of three we all yell Fire" the other boys nodded and Ashton continued
"1....2....3..."
"FIRE!!!!"
Calum jumped at least a foot out of his seat
The other boys lost it with laughter until they couldn't breath anymore
"I hate all of you" Calum grumbled hiding a smirk
"Alright, homeroom first, then we all have gym together, except Ash of course" Ash was a grade above and only had lunch with the other boys.
Luke looked at the other boys for confirmation
"Yup, see ya!" Michael grabbed Luke's arm and pulled him to their homeroom.
"See ya at lunch sleepy head!" Ashton walked towards his homeroom leaving Calum to walk to class alone.

"Hey Cal!" Mike yelled as he saw Calum coming towards the locker room to change for gym.
"Hey, I totally forgot to eat this morning, I'm so hungry" Calum put his hand on his grumbling belly and looked up at Micheal
"I might have a sandwich in my bag, you should probably eat it after gym though" Luke rubbed his stomach again
"I don't think I can wait that long, can I have it?" Michael started walking into the locker room where Luke was waiting
"Here Cal" Micheal said as he handed him the sandwich from his bag
"Thanks Mike you're a lifesaver." Calum ate the sandwich quickly and the ran out to the field where the other boys were getting ready to play.

20 minutes into the game, Calum was regretting his decision to eat the sandwich m, his stomach was swirling now and he was getting dizzy.
"Hey Cal, you Okay? You're slowing down." Luke had noticed his friends strange behavior and came over to check on him
"I don't think the sandwich is sitting well, I think I need to take a break" Luke looked concerned and put his hand over the boys shoulders.
"Come on, I'll talk to couch with you"
"What can I do for you boys?"
The couch was hard on the boys but he was a nice person and wouldn't hurt a fly
"Cal isn't feeling so well, can I take him into the locker room for a bit?"
The couch looked at Calum and could immediately tell that the boy was uncomfortable.
"Ya don't worry about coming back, if he's still not well at the end of the period, take him down the the nurse" Luke nodded and dragged the suddenly sick boy to the locker room.
Micheal was watching worriedly but decided to wait until the end of class to check on them.
"Hey Cal you doing okay?" Calum had sat on a bench right away, putting his head in his hands and taking deep breaths, he shook his head and looked up at Luke
"I think I'm gonna throw up" Like saw a bin in the corner of the room and went to grab it.
"Alright bud, you're okay, try to breath the buckets here if you need it."

Within 5 minutes, Calum was leaned over the bucket, releasing the sandwich he had eaten not 30 minutes before
"After 15 minutes of heaving, the other boys were starting to come back in and were quickly taking in the situation. Some boys were giving sympathetic looks while others were making faces
Micheal was the last to come into the locker room and gasped as he ran over to help comfort Calum.
"Text Ash, we need to take him to the nurse" Micheal nodded and pulled out his phone

To Ash: Cal's sick. Meet us in the locker room? We need to take him to the nurse

From Ash: what do you mean 'Cal's sick'? He was fine earlier wasn't he?"

To Ash: He ate right before gym. It didn't settle well.

From Ash: Take him to the office I'll meet you there.

Micheal closed his phone and told Luke what Ashton said

5 minutes later they were sitting in the office with a bucket on the floor and 3 boys waiting for Joy to show up.

Joy showed up right as Calum started throwing up again
"Oh baby! Come on let's get you home"
Joy took Calum home and got him settled in bed with a bin by his head
He woke up 2 hours later to a text message on his phone

From Micheal: Hope you're feeling better! That'll teach you not to eat before gym

Calum chuckled and fell back asleep so not only was he feeling better the next morning but he wasn't actually tired!
