Luke- Pain

Pain.
What a nice way to wake up right?
Wrong.
Today was going to be a crap day for one Luke Hemmings because he woke up to one thing.
Pain.
Now Luke has two options:
One, he can tell his brother he doesn't feel well and stay home and rest for the day or
Two, he can go to school and pretend he's fine and wallow in his own self misery
Luke being Luke chose the latter.

Now Luke was in the car with Jack, gripping the door handle so as not to scream out in pain.
Pain.
That's all Luke could think about.

"Luke?" Luke shook out of his trance and looked at his brother
"Huh? Were you talking to me?" Jack was confused
"We've been here for three minutes, I couldn't get your attention, are you okay?" Luke swallowed harshly and opened the door
"Ya I'm good, just tired I guess, I'll see you after school" Jack wasn't convinced but he said goodbye and waved anyways.

"Hey Luke!" Ashton waved him over. Luke sat down next to the boys while waiting for the bell to ring.
"You good Luke?" Luke turned towards Calum and nodded
"Ya all good, just tired" Luke lied

Suddenly the boys heard a bang and turned to see Robby, the biggest school bully of all time, pin a kid against a wall and yell at him.
All the boys felt shivers go down their spines
"He's horrible" Micheal mumbled
The other boys nodded.
They sat in silence until the bell rang and try all rushed to class

Pain.
That's all Luke felt the whole morning.
But now, the period before lunch, another symptom is added to the list
Nausea.
Horrific, overwhelming nausea.

Before class, Luke stopped in the bathroom, he leaned over the toilet and pretty immediately brought up his whole stomach.
Pain.
The pain was excruciating.
Nothing could compare to the pain that Luke was feeling in that bathroom stall.
Finally he headed back to class.
45 minutes and then he could leave.

The boys met up in the lunch room and started chatting about their morning and all the work they had to do.
Luke stayed quiet, he was only focused on one thing
Pain.
And nausea.
Luke had enough and got up, mumbling something about going to the bathroom before class and rushed out of the room.
The boys looked back confused but quickly got over it and continued talking

Meanwhile, Luke was trying to get to the bathroom before the nausea took over but he was having trouble thinking through the pain.

Suddenly a hand grabbed his arm roughly.
Luke turned his head to see no one other then Robby himself standing beside him.
"Is little Hemmings looking for his fwiends?" Luke squeezed his eyes shut momentarily and then looked back at the bully
"P-p-please L-l-let g-go of m-me"
Robby laughed loudly
Luke couldn't take it anymore, he was so overwhelmed with pain and nausea, he put a hand over his mouth to try and stop the inevitable but he was to late, within 15 seconds, both him and Robby were covered in vomit
"What the hell is wrong with you!" Robby yelled as he pushed Luke against the locker
"You think this is funny! I'm gonna have to wear this all day!" Robby started punching and kicking Luke. When Robby thought for sure he had broken the boy he kicked him one last time and walked away.
Pain.
Pain.
Pain.
There was nothing but pain for Luke.
Tears were streaming down his face as he tried to decide what to do.
Suddenly he felt the urge to throw up again.
He stumbled into the bathroom and heaved up bile and blood into the floor.
Pain.
Luke's world was fading in and out.
Pain.
Luke didn't know what to do.
Pain.
Was this the end?
Pain.
With one last rush of pain through Luke's abdomen he was out
No more Pain, just darkness.

"Hey Mike!" Jack had been waiting in the parking lot for 30 minutes and there was no sign of his younger brother.
"What's up Jack? Why are you still here?" Micheal had stayed after class with Ashton to retake a test, there was no reason for Jack to still be there.
"Luke hasn't come out yet, I was hoping he would be with you" Micheal was confused
"He wasn't in class with me or Ash and Cal left early for a dentist appointment, have you called him?" Jack nodded
"He didn't answer his phone, he was acting strange this morning" Micheal nodded, remembering how tired the boy looked at the beginning of the day.
"Maybe we should go look for him" Jack quickly nodded and locked his car
"I don't know where he would be" Jack was panicking
"Calm down Jack, panicking won't help us" Jack bit his lip and kept walking
Ashton met up with them and the started looking
20 minutes later, they saw vomit in the hallway and the real panic started
Jack burst through the bathroom door, only to be met with a sight he never wanted to see.
Luke was unconscious.
There was blood all over him, he had a black eye and bruises every where, his shirt was covered in vomit, and his face was littered with dry tears.
Jack shook away his shock and kneeled down next to his brother
"Call 911" Ashton ran out of the room to dial 911 and Micheal sat next to Jack
"Ambulance is on its way"
Wishing the next 10 minutes, Luke was being taken away on a stretcher and Jack was allowed to ride in the back.

"W-where am I" Jack and the three other boys shot up next to Luke
Like tried to sit up but Calum stopped him
"You have stitches and some broken bones" Luke later back down and looked to his brother who had tears down his face
"What h-happened?"
Ashton put his hand on Luke's shoulder
"You had an Appendicitis, and you were beat up, do you remember anything?" Tears sprung to Luke's eyes
"I r-remember the P-p-pain, and r-r-Robby, I thought I was going to die" Luke whispered the last part and was immediately wrapped in a hug by his big brother
"You scared me Luke" the other three boys left to give the brothers a minute and Hack got in bed with Luke
"I'm sorry" Luke whispered
"Shh, it's okay now, I'm not mad, just rest" Luke felt safe knowing his brother was there and fell into a deep sleep.

As for Robby? The whole thing was on camera
He was expelled and sent away to military school.
Ha! That'll teach'm.
