Calum- gotta push through it

Calum's P.O.V

I woke up and i immediately felt terrible, my stomach was cramping and i felt nauseous, i would stay home but i have a english essay and it's 50% of my grade and i cannot get a 0 for that.

I slowly got up and i almost fell over because i felt so lightheaded and dizzy. Once the dizziness stopped i walked over to my closet and slowly got dressed in a red flannel and some black skinny jeans. I walked downstairs and saw my mother and my sister Mali-Koa. I grabbed the lunch money my mom handed me and Mali-Koa looked at me with concern. "Are you okay?" she asked. I nodded my head and tried to smile as i walked out the door.

When the school bus arrived i walked in and sat next to Ashton and laid my head on his shoulder. "Dude, you okay? You're usually really energetic in the mornings" "Yeah i'm okay, stayed up to late last night" I lied, he nodded his head and i closed my eyes to try and ease the slight headache i was getting.

LATER THAT DAY

It was lunch time and i was feeling worse, my stomach was in knots and was doing flips. My headache had turned into a full-blown migraine and everything was hot, It hurt to walk and i was close to tears. Ashton, Michael, and Luke all sat down at the table and they all looked worried. "What?" I asked out of pure confusion "You look terrible, are you sick?" Michael asked "No, i just stayed up all night so i have headache" I said. Michael didn't look convinced but he nodded anyway.

Ashton's P.O.V
Calum was sick, i could tell something was wrong from the second he sat on the bus this morning.
He had dark bags under his eyes, he looked pale, and basically every 20 seconds his face was scrunching up in what looked like pain. I also noticed that his arm was "secretly" wrapped around his stomach, but he kept saying that nothing was wrong so i'll only interfere if/when it gets bad.

"Hey guys we have band practice at my house today okay?" Luke said and we all said okay but Calum just looked upset about it.

Calum's P.O.V
I finally made it english and we were given our essay and i looked at the paper but i could barely read the words because my head hurt so much. The words were jumbled up and spinning around and it was starting to make me feel nauseous. I couldn't take it anymore.

I raised my hand and the teacher walked over and asked what i needed. "I really don't feel good" I whispered "Calum, you really think i'm going to fall for that? If you're trying to get out of the essay, it's not going to work" She said walking away. My eyes watered as a painful cramp ripped through my stomach. I put my head down and ignored the essay entirely. 

TIME SKIP TO BAND PRACTICE 

I was at Luke's house and we were practicing our new song Out Of My LImit and my stomach was hurting worse than it already did, it felt as if someone stuck a knife in my stomach then started twisting it.

Michael's P.O.V
It was Calum's turn to sing but when he opened his mouth a scream and a whimper came out. We all looked and him a concerned look, he then suddenly began to projectile vomit.

Ashton jumped into action and grabbed a bin and put it under Calum's chin as he started round two. "i-it hurts-s" Calum cried "what hurts" "stomach" He said but then he screamed again and began to cry. "Calum, where does it hurt" Ashton asked and Calum's shaky hand pointed to his lower right side, Luke grabbed the bin from Ashton so he could examine Calum, Ashton lifted up Calum's shirt to see his lower right side was swollen and slightly red. "I'm so sorry for this but i need to see how bad it hurts" Ashton said and lightly placed his hand on Calum's stomach. Calum began to immediately scream about how bad it hurt and began to vomit more.

"Guys, he needs to go to the hospital now, he has appendicitis" Ashton said.
"Uh, guys" Luke said "We need to get to hurry up, he just threw up blood" Luke added.

We all panicked and quickly got Calum to the car.
The whole car ride consisted of Calum's screams, vomiting, and his cries.

When we got to the hospital he immediately got a room. They said that they needed to remove his appendix as soon as possible, They put a mask on his face and in a short amount of time he fell asleep and they took him into the E.R and we went into the waiting room.

A FEW HOURS LATER
We were called back into Calum's room and we saw him half-sleep with a bunch of wires attached to his arm.
"Hey Calum, how ya feeling" Ashton asked. "Better" Calum mumbled, attempting to stay awake. "Go to sleep Cal" I said and he nodded, immediately falling asleep.
