We all decided to go our separate ways, each team had a mission to complete. Relapse and I were to find a new place, we needed supplies badly. We rode his '28 JH Two-Cam to find the group's new home.

Riding behind us on his '55 Triumph was Dramatic and Deathwish. They were going to help us find a place.

The group decided we would meet back at camp before sun down. We weren't prepared for the night creatures, not yet anyway. Relapse and I made our way around the zones. He swerved past the desert rocks and trees and I kept my eyes open for any danger.

"Sparkling, I don't know what we're looking for exactly. The BLI demolished almost all the abandoned buildings in the zones."

"We'll find something, I know it." I tried to assure him as well as myself but I was failing.

I looked back to Dramatic and Deathwish to make sure they were still following. Deathwish waved and knew they were doing okay. How long were we going to be safe?

---------------------------------------------------

I waved at Sparkling letting her know we were fine. Dramatic concentrated on the view ahead of him. He had to keep up with Relapse, so I looked around looking for a place to stay.

"Dramatic, I'm scared. What happens if we don't find a place and the vampires attack?"

"Then I'll protect you until the time I take my last breath. I won't let any harm come to you."

I wrapped my arms around him tighter. I laid my head against his back and watched the view. Off in the distance I saw something pointing in the horizon. "Dramatic I think I found a place."

He stopped and signaled Relapse, Sparkling noticed and they turned around back towards us. "What's wrong Dramatic?"

"She sees off in the distance that way, worth a look?" Relapse nodded and began to lead us again. As we drive closer the image became clearer. What I saw was a cross, sitting high atop a chapel. Could this be our new home?

---------------------------------------------------

"This place is huge, we just need to fix it up a bit. A church is perfect, vamps can't cross holy ground and this is still holy. It's big, we can have our own rooms again."

I was excited about this place, it felt perfect and right. The diner was always a fun place to stay at but it was small. Dr. D's wasn't that big either but now we have a huge building in great condition.

I picked up Deathwish in my arms and carried her through the doors. Her face lit up at all the stain glass windows. The sun shined right through them making a rainbow of colors parading around the church.

"Okay two of us should stay and two go back to the group and bring them here." I put down Deathwish and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Dramatic, you and I should go back." Sparkling came over to me, "what do you think?" Was it a good idea to split?

---------------------------------------------------

I held onto Jet's hand as he drove the Shelby Mustang. Skye and Phoenix sat in the back, we were trying to find food supply. We were going to an abandoned grocery store, there wouldn't be much left there.

Until we find a new home this would have to work. I looked at Skye and Phoenix in the rearview mirror. Skye had become a great help, she was becoming one of us. I guess she was one of us already, she had a gift but we didn't know what it was yet.

Slowly I was trusting her, but I still felt distant towards Phoenix. He was an ex-BLI member. Phoenix tortured people, did he really change for Skye? We arrived at the store, long forgotten by the people of Battery City.
