Chapter Eleven - Someone Get Me To The Doctor

"Where the Hell are they?" Shattered and my Phoenix are missing, it's been three days since we last saw them. I saw them head outside, we were celebrating Tiger and Party's wedding. Shattered didn't look good, and had ran out. Phoenix said he was going to make sure she was okay and went after her.

By the time I went outside to check on both of them, they were gone. There were no sign of them anywhere, no evidence they had been out here. "How the Hell do we lose two of our people?" Party asked, furious and most likely annoyed. Of course I was upset, Phoenix was my partner and now he was gone.

We all started to fight, blaming one another. Wretched and I were at each others throats, blaming the others partner for causing this. Our fighting ceased when a loud bang on the door echoed through the halls. Authority walked up to the large doors, slowly opening them.

Standing there was a vampire, his red eyes glowing bright and he had a smirk on his face. "Hello Killjoys, my name is Aleck. We could hear the fighting about your missing friends." We? As we all gathered closer we could see the church was surrounded by vamps.

"Now tomorrow night is a special night and we thought you would all want to join us."

Harlequin stepped up, "what makes tomorrow so special?"

His smile grew, "I'm so happy you asked my dear." Aleck turned his head, "bring them out!" He stepped aside to show the view behind him. The vampires started to shuffle before two of the bigger ones dragged something to the middle of the area.

"Peril show them item number one." The first one positioned his sack and removed it showing.......

"Phoenix!" I started to move towards the door to run to him but was stopped. "Let me go!" Phoenix's eyes met mine, they were in pain and he looked beaten. Peril held onto him by a chain that was around his neck, like a dog. His hands tied behind his back and his mouth covered.

Aleck started to laugh and clap at his amusement, "Brute show then item number two." We knew who we would see, our other missing member, Shattered. We watched him position his sack he dragged out an remove it swiftly.

There she was, just like Phoenix her hands were tied behind her back and a chain around her neck. I noticed she didn't have her mouth covered though, they both were on their knees. Now it was Wretched's turn to try and go after his partner, but just like me they stopped him.

"Shattered! Let her go you son of a bitch!" She looked just as bad as Phoenix, both seemed broken. I could feel something burning inside me, seeing what they did, fury was starting to build.

Party came up front, "what do you want? Let them go and we'll let you live."

"Oh you are all pathetic humans. Tomorrow night, during our celebration, I shall make the lovely Shattered into a vampire. She will be one of the most powerful creatures, and her first meal will be her friend Phoenix."

I could still see them, Shattered lifted her head and looked at Phoenix in an apologetic look. He looked at her and shook his head no, trying to tell her that his plan wouldn't work. Tiger walked right up to Aleck, her face only inches away, "what makes you think we won't stop you?"

"Try and we will kill them both in the most horrible ways you could think of. They will be begging for death by the time we'll be done with them. Then we'll come back for you and slaughter you all."

Aleck moved back to where Phoenix and Shattered were, "now you are all welcome to join us tomorrow night. Watch the events unfold, until then goodbye."

They were gone, in just seconds they had left. A box fell to the ground, Horror went out and grabbed it. Sparkling opened it up, "it's a note. It says to see the celebration of life and death we will do it in front of the church."

Dramatic whispered, "they're bringing it to us so we don't know where they are now."

Deathwish took my hand, "Skye? Are you okay?" I shook my head no and walked away from the group. No matter what it takes, I will save Phoenix.

I started to clean Shattered up for tomorrow night, washed the dirt away and tended to her injuries. She was chained to the table, not able to move anything but her head. Her mouth was still glued shut, which I hated to see. "Shattered, I will unseal your lips I you promise not to scream. Do you promise?" She nodded her head slowly, "good. Now this will hurt."

Using my sharp nails I dug them between her lips and started to separate them. She was in pain and started to scream from it but it was just a normal scream so I let it go. Soon her lips were apart, bleeding and chapped but they would heal.

The blood smelled good and so I traced my tongue around her lips enjoying every bit. "So sweet." My hand moved slowly up her purple mini dress, she flinched at the cold touch. I leaned in for another kiss but instead she spit in my face.

"Don't fucking touch me." I leaped on top of her, putting pressure on some of her wounds which caused her to yelp in pain.

"You'll be mine soon enough." I placed my hand on her stomach, "this will be mine too."

"Dramatic?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think we'll be able to save them both?" I kept my eyes lowered to Sheldon, who I was holding in my hands. Dramatic was standing by the window in our room, I was sitting on our bed.

"Yes, we took down the BLI, we can take down some stupid fairies." As I pet Sheldon's shell, his little tongue would lick my hand. "He's grown fond of you. There's only a few people he'll lick."

"Yeah I know. You, me and Shattered. I think Sheldon misses her."

"We all do." Dramatic sat next to me and kissed me. Without breaking the kiss he picked up Sheldon and placed him in the tank next to the bed. "Deathwish?" I made a sound indicating I heard him. "When this is over, I want to take you away from all of this."

I pushed back from him, "what do you mean? What about the others?" He stood up quickly and paced the room.

"Deathwish, what kind of life is this? Don't you want to get married and start a family?"

"Well of course I do."

"What kind of life will our children have when they have to constantly fight and run for their lives? I want to go back to Battery City, get a house and be a family."

"We can't just abandon this family, what about Shattered and Unbroken? Sparkling, Harlequin, Tiger and Authority. All of them are our family, Im not going to just leave them. I like being a Killjoy, is it perfect? No, but it's the life I choose and want."

I headed to the door and left, I made my way to Unbroken and Horror's room. I knocked, hoping they weren't asleep. Unbroken answered, "Deathwish, what's wrong?"

"Can I stay here for the night?"
