Chapter Sixteen - We'll Shoot Back Holy Water Part Two

"Now!" I shouted making sure everyone was ready. We knew Shattered would somehow use her ability, letting us attack when they are down. We pushed forward, we were out numbered but we were stronger. I made sure Sparkling was by my side, there was no way I would let her out of my site.

I couldn't lose her, now that I have found her. She helped me pick my Killjoy name, Relapse Symphony. Sparkling is one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen, and I wasn't about to let some blood suckers destroy what I have.

"Sparkling, over here!" We ran towards a couple of vampires. She quickly drew a stake and handed it to me. I decided with her by my side I would let the others take the supplies at the beginning. With a stake in my hand I grabbed one of the vamps and stabbed him through the heart.

He screamed in agony and then fell to the ground. Way too easy, things couldn't go this easy all through the fight. Well, one down and a shit ton more to go. I believed if we could get to Aleck and kill him, the others would give up. However, some of the others wanted to kill them all no matter what.

Sparkling let out a small scream, one of the vamps was already back up and had her in his grip. I saw his red eyes and sharp teeth appear. "No!" I ripped the stake out of the dead vamp and threw it at the other one.

It didn't hit his heart but it stunned him enough for Sparkling to grab the one end and rip it out. Then she flipped it and stabbed his heart, causing him to collapse to the ground. I ran to her, "are you okay?"

"Yeah, thank you." I hugged her tight not wanting to let her go. "Let's keep going."

We continued to move to vampires and staking them. Only having a few problems and near accidents. Sparkling was amazing and she was getting better with her gift.

Somehow we needed to get Shattered and Phoenix away from Aleck. If they were safe then we could concentrate everything on fighting. Relapse grabbed my hand, we were running to a safe place. We weren't running away from the battle but I needed to draw up some things.

First I drew up bottles of holy water, it didn't kill vampires but it stunned them. A few more stakes as well and a few cross necklaces. I heard Shattered scream, not her epic scream but an actual scream of pain. I started searching for her, were we too late? Did he just bite her?

Finally my eyes locked on them, Aleck had just hit her for screaming and was putting her gag back on. I was thankful that he didn't start and bite her. We all thought about what happens if she did turn. None of us thought we would be able to kill her, but somehow we would have to.

It wouldn't be needed though because we were going to save both of them. I thought about something that could be useful. I fell to my knees and started drawing, this would take a bit longer. "Relapse, give me cover so I can finish this."

"No problem."

My fingers moved quickly in the dirt until I was finished. Soon I made the image come to life and smiled. It was perfect but now I needed to draw the second part. Again my fingers moved frantically trying to hurry and finish.

After what seemed to take forever I was done. I lifted my new object in the air and fired. My crossbow was perfect, the arrows shot and hit the vampires head on. I made a quiver to hold my arrows, couldn't waste any.

Some of them I missed their hearts but it distracted them long enough for someone to come and finish them off. I aimed at Aleck but before I could fire a vamp attacked me. Quickly I shot and killed it, I was getting better with aim.

I looked around, all of us fighting and taking down the vampires. Soon I noticed that more vampires just kept coming, how many were there? Was there no end? My biggest fear was that it would be to much for us to handle and we would fail.

With Relapse by my side we ran to some of the others, making sure they were okay. Drawing up anything they could need. I saw Deathwish fighting by herself but that wasn't safe. Dramatic was on his own too, the plan was to stay coupled. So if one was in trouble the other could help.

I just hoped whatever was going on between them wouldn't effect their fighting. Relapse looked at me and I motioned to Deathwish, he knew what I wanted. He was to look after her and I would look after Dramatic. This way we stay coupled and we don't lose anymore Killjoys.
